Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory reviews
20This ice cream shop is a fantastic spot for families. The colorful and playful decor is sure to capture the kids' attention, and the selection of ice cream flavors has something for everyone.
Delicious ice cream
Butter pecan was more delicious than vanilla chocolate funk.
The scoop is very large and filling.

Seojin Lee New York New York effect
The ice cream itself seems to be better at the other store next door.
The Butter Pecan Ice Cream was yummy! The Vanilla w Choco bites flavour was great as well!
An option if you are in the DUMBO area. The prices are also consistent with that and are high, ice tea is $5 and a large shake is $11. If you ask for sweet tea, they will give you very sweet. The shake was good, normal. It has indoor and outdoor tables, but you can take advantage of the surroundings and enjoy the views.
Great spot for enjoying a treat! Grab your ice cream and go to the water spot (over to the left) and enjoy it with a view! We tried the strawberry flavour and it was tasty!
Good quality ice cream with a delicious creamy texture, waffle cone and overall flavour!
Luckily we didn’t get any queue (we were there on a weekday around midday)
We tried the ice cream here. Definitely recommend trying them out once you are in this area. The whole area and vibe of the place is good too.
During a hot day, there's not many things better than getting a fresh icecream, and the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory did not disappoint!
I got the "Butter Pecan" served in a classic cone (they have 3 different ones, classic, waffle and the ones you'd see when getting a McDonald's soft serve) and it was delicious!
In case you see a long line, fret not, it moves surprisingly quickly and in my experience staff was very kind and polite.
Price is a bit high (I paid ~7usd for 1 scoop), but considering the nice (and touristy) area, I expected it before going there. Would recommend if you're visiting Dumbo and the weather is nice!
Great ice cream!
I visited around 3pm and it is not very crowded.
I tried strawberry and it is so creamy:)
I don’t think it is very cheap but tastes so good.
After photographing an engagement session at the Brooklyn Bridge, stopped for ice cream while heading to the subway. Its right next to the bridge which was a nice treat. The butter pecan ice cream is soooo good!
Strawberry
It has similar taste as Rain or Shine's roasted strawberry from Vancouver. Defiantly Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory's must try flavour.
Chocolate + Coffee
The chocolate is a bit bitter so it's better to mix with coffee to increase the taste layer.
Grabbed a treat at Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory on a Saturday afternoon and luckily there was no line and plenty of seating. It was super hot outside, so we were happy to get a table with shade and a beautiful view of the bridge in the background.
We ordered the 3 scoops in a bowl and added butterscotch, whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. Pretty good deal at $10.50. Chocolate chocolate chunk and strawberry were both good but peach didn't taste like anything to me, so I considered it more like a milk flavor ice cream which was good to balance the other flavors. The butterscotch was unnecessary and I wouldn't get it again. Would get whipped cream and sprinkles again though. Overall, not the best ice cream I've ever had, but creamy, classic and a good treat.
All ice cream is made on the premises and the staff was super nice.
Ice Cream Made On Premise. Really Wish They Offered A Crushed Pineapple For A Banana Split Topping. Otherwise Great
Basic ice cream nothing special people going crazy over plain ice cream. Vanilla or Chocolate take your pick. $7 for a single scoop or $10 for 3 scoops, whoever pricing this is hustling everyone cos you know nobody paying $7 for a single. Used to be good when it was in the OG location now it’s just another tourist trap.
This place is worth more to eat ice cream in front of the Brooklyn Bridge than for the ice cream itself, since it is a standard flavor despite being artisanal. If you want a moment of rest with a pleasant view, I would choose this place. The service is fast and there is plenty of place to sit and rest.
I passed by and decided to try this ice cream shop, the children liked it very much. Need to queue, $7 for one scoop, $9 for two scoops,
For adults, it feels very ordinary, nothing special.
If you are in Brooklyn, stop and have a good fresh ice cream!
It's under the Brooklyn bridge
We took a banana split and it was amazing
Really really good ice-cream! I highly recommend as someone who often makes my own ice-cream.
I've passed by many times, but nobody I was walking with ever wanted to brave the line. I was by myself yesterday and figured I would try it. I only waited a little over ten minutes. The butter pecan was smooth and creamy, great taste and consistency. A little steep at $7 for a small, but naturally the other sizes are a better deal. There are comparable options around, but this was good!
Was headed to the Brooklyn Bridge pier and saw this huge ice cream shop and decided to get a little treat to sit by the water… and I’m so glad I did because the ice cream is organic and natural and delicious! I got the butter pecan because they told me that was the most popular but my friend got the peaches and cream and that was actually delicious so I hope to stop by again and get the peaches and cream for myself.
