Budget Car Rental, Queens NY

Due to Covid-19 all vehicles should be cleaned and sanitized. The first vehicle offered was very nasty. The second vehicle had a device tracker hanging down between the brake and accelerator. Third vehicle smelled like smoke. Luckily I had my disinfectant supplies with me and running back and forth. I took the third vehicle and Sanatized and disinfected it. Overall the vehicle was great after I cleaned it up.

Spencer, the JFK airport manager was great. Specter and the staff were extremely professional and resolved my rental issues quickly and with care. I highly recommend them and will definitely only use this rental service in the future.

When I called and told the agent that my flight would arrive much later than planned on a prepaid reservation.he cancelled the first reservation and rebooked another prepaid at an even better rate. Very easy. He told me Budget would refund the first reservation. That didn't happen yet but I assume they will do that soon

The car couldn't have been dirtier. It reeked of cigarette smoke. There was dirt, dust and smudges in the interior and the windshield was also dirty.

I enjoy booking with Budget. They have great options that don't break the bank. The location at JFK is easily accessible. I didn't have any problem with the customer service. The only thing I had a problem with is the fact that there isn't an option for non smoking or smoking vehicles. The person who had the rental before me was a smoker and honestly I didn't want to go back inside to request a new vehicle (I just wanted to get outta there). Having non smoking and smoking vehicles would be awesome BUDGET!

Right away service was deliver to me.the vehicle was ready for me when I arrived, the return process was fast and easy.

The quality of service at this location is poor. I found one of the representatives to be rude and I wasn't received well. The wait time here was high and none of the agents at the counter seemed to worry or put in efforts to speed up the service.

JFK is a major hub and budget needs to focus on these negative reviews/ratings.

This was also my last experience with Budget in general. I made a reservation online and chose the Fuel Plan option that allows you to bring the car back without a full tank and Budget charges you the local gas price. Conveniently for Budget they did not include that option in my actual contract. After a red eye flight with an infant and toddler I was not about to read every detail on the contract since there was also a long line forming because of the slow service and I thought I was well aware of the options I chose online. I ended up getting charged $117 for returning with about half the tank. I called customer service and they said my signed contract did not include the Fuel Plan even though they can confirm my online reservation clearly says I chose it. Id rather pay more for my rental than get a fast one pulled on me during an inconvenient time.

With the remodeling of now JFK airport, as well as LaGuardia, going to either is awful. You have to walk a lot, go up two floors, then take a train to the rental cars. Budget rentals are in a small little office that was so full with people waiting that the electric door would not close.
Whoever the Yahoo is that approved both airports doing major remodels at the same time must have been a high school dropout.

How do you only have 3 people working on a busy holiday weekend! It's Labor Day in NY you should have called everyone in to work or offeres overtime. So I walked next door and got a car from Dollar for the same price

Had an emergency, line to desk was long, real long and only 2 staff on duty, the office is just too small for a name like Budget in that airport.
I never made it to the desk, left with my emergency not resoled could afford to wait that long

Staff was superb. Rental was excellent for my needs. Pick up and drop off was easy. Location was convenient and clean. Price was right. Will use again and recommend highly.

Very long lines, long wait, just a terrible terrible experience after a long flight. Budget needs to find a way to expedite the car renting process at this location.

Rented the car for 3 days. Totaling $300. THEY CHARGED ME $1700 THIS MORNING. No email.no explanation. NO NOTHING. The people at JFK Budget didn't do their job and return the car in the system apparently. YET they already rented the car out. THEN they said they would give my money back in 5-7 business days. FOREVER! Then she offered me $50. After spending 4.5 hours on the phone being told different thing. They made the mistake NOT ME! I am a fast break member. Rent here all the time. I will NEVER rent from Budget or Avis again. NEVER. Canceling all memberships. DONT RENT HERE. Take pictures your our car at return!

We have been waiting to pick up our reserved car for an hour. They have 4 reps working and the line is not moving. No updates from the staff on any reason for the substantial wait, just frequent instructions on how to stand in line. Terrible service from a company who clearly doesn’t care about their customers

The return at JFK can be a bit confusing as there are many car rental companies. There are close to each other, so a bit less of a worry. Assuming many drivers do get confused as the staff at the rentals seems ready with direction instructions. The return is quite fast if all is good.

The line to pick up a car was completely crazy, we wait more than 1h30 having a booked and prepaid car.
That was our last time with budget

There's a long wait time.so if you'rein a rush.forget about it.long lines.they give you upgrades and no discounts on anything.

The biggest line, i saw in my life at 11pm 50 people on the line, and only 1 employer, Budget one of the biggest rent car company in world, and baddest experience!

When I got to the car rental place the place was full. Waited more than half hour to see the renting agent. Spend time looking for a car because they didn't have the one I had reserve. The young man that took care of me was very nice and helpful. The car that I was assigned the door to the trunk didn't work. Had to go back so I could get another car. End ed up getting a better car but for the same price. I still will rent from them again.
