Budget Car Rental, Queens NY

This place is awful. No cars to rent. All of the major rental car locations are sharing cars. If you need need need a car do not rely on them. We reserved a car 3 months before our trip got there and were told that they'd dint have a car. That was a trip back in April. My husband and I just went back to St. Thomas to see family reserved a cat and didnt get a car until a week later. We didnt even get the minivan we reserved we ended up with an economy car which couldnt fit us all but at that point it was better than nothing.

Took an hour and a half to get our car with only 5 people ahead of us in line. Extremely rude staff. The whole process is not very streamlined, having to wait once all the paperwork is ready for the staff to get notified of what car they are to give you. Then you need to wait for the car to be ready, even though I picked the car up 2 hours after I had booked it for. The check in process included a heavy upsell to a larger car, telling me the car I had booked would not be roomy enough. We were only 2 people and a car seat. Of course I refused and insisted on the car I booked.

Jerome at the Front Desk is very misinformed about credit card policies. My mother was renting a car and I was going to be the 2nd driver. So Jerome ask for my drivers license and a credit card although the car was paid for. So I gave him my Visa debit card but he told me it had to be my credit card. I ask him why, and his reply was "budget rental car needs to check my credit history etc. " which I think is completely bogus. For his credit, he ask his unpleasant "supervisor or manager" if he can give us a courtesy pass and she said no, and she actually look and spoke to him without recognizing us and we were in front of both of them. Horrible customer service! So while I'm talking w/ my mother and telling her about the next car rental will be elsewhere, Jerome came out of nowhere and told us if we wanted to cancel he will be more than glad to do so. The sarcasm and the attitude of both (Jerome and his superior) gives budget car rental a bad reputation and for sure will be renting cars elsewhere.

Correct payment. When I returned my nation, I realized that my rental fee was overcharged ($4,600) comparing to the receit ($860).

I saw some of the reviews and every time I go to budget I never had a problem.so I can't get them a bad rating cuz I always got help with any problem and I never had a problem with a car.

Horrible experience. 40 people deep in line. Took well over an hour to even get to the counter to talk to an agent. Then our car, which we paid for in advance, and was a guaranteed reservation, was not even ready. And it was this way for everyone in line. All cars were not back and ready. We waited another hour before finally receiving our car. As a result we were behind the rest of our trip as what should’ve taken 30 minutes took 2.5 hours.

Was very happy of the service at the desk and the car given, everything when sooth and easy, thanks for your amazing service.

Extremely long wait, horrible service, and when I finally got our car it had a flat tire so I had to go back in to get a replacement. Even when I had already gone through and waited in line once, when I went back in to get the replacement it took another full half hour for someone to finally serve me and actually get the replacement. Absolutely terrible.
