Chili Animal Care, Rochester NY

Chili Animal Care has really declined in the way they operate since Monroe took over. Dr. Kuntz is still wonderful, caring, & compassionate, but I can't give Chili Animal Care under Monroe my business anymore. The last straw was when I had to have my beloved kitty put down. I was extremely upset. They very coldly told me to take her to emergency Vet because they were too busy. I had been a client there for many, many years & this was so uncalled for & cruel!

I feel as though I should share my experience, so others wont have to go through what i did. Last week I had to put down my beautiful huskie, who ive had in my house for 13 years. It broke my heart, and still bothers me. She was a patient here, so i called to make the appointment. They gave me a price, it was scheduled for the next day. When i showed up with her, they told me they were charging me another 40$, saying because i didnt bring her there the year before. How awful is that? This is by far, the worst thing i had to experience, and they made it worse. How heartless! I am still reeling, and with a broken heart. I have taken my other kids away from there to another vet, and i will NEVER go back there. Please be aware, they only care about money, certainly not the financial situation of us. I hope all who read this will be careful of these people, and know what they will do to make money. God bless my daughter, and all who read this. I hope to see her in heaven!

They love my pet. The staff are friendly and attentive. They know their job and understand their customers.

I have been going there for many years now and they are great, answer all my questions, send me reminders (god forbid I remember myself) and NOW they have an app! I can make request appointments and even update some things myself via the notes.

I have gone there over 20 years for: 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a bunny. Yes, it may not have fancy decor— but their priorities are obviously the animals. Everyone is always kind, professional, and knowledgeable. The vet talks to you at length— I have never felt rushes and recommend them.

From the staff to the Drs everyone is professional and pleasant. I really am impressed by the Dr getting on the floor to be level with my dog. Thank you for such a great experience every time.

My pets have always received great care! They are efficient and caring. We have been using them for 20 years now.

I feel the need to write a review, It's not often I do. I been going to Chili Animal Care for over 15 years and I never questioned the care they have gave to my pets. My dog went down hill at a rapid pace and was treated by Dr. Meg Gobeli. I had full trust in her that she was doing the right thing. When the time came that it would be thousands of dollars to keep my 10 year old dog alive for more a limited time I knew it was time to say goodbye to my buddy. The day my dog was to be put down I thought I would go for a second opinion just to ease my mind. When the other vet told me she would have done exactly what Dr Meg Gobeli did with not much more to do it I knew 100% Dr meg did what she could. I just want to thank her and the staff for all they did to keep my buddy running around as long as they could without breaking the bank. Dr. Gobeli and Dr Kuntz are the A Team and deserve to be told that. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all you have done and I will going to Chili Animal Care for years to come. Very nice veterinary office. Friendly staff and doctors. They keep animals and their 'parents' calm even in poor circumstances. We choose to continue to go to this office even though we have closer offices. They are great!

I have been coming to chili animal care for 54 yrs. I started with Dr. Rague wonderful vet and man. Dr Kuntz has been a wonderful vet.kind, caring, professional. I couldn't even think of going anyplace else. Thanks for all the great service.

Called to inquire about a new appointment and received abrupt, rude and unaccomodating service.

Took a very lethargic cat in to be examined on an urgent basis 15 minutes before closing. Staff was super, Dr. Kuntz was able to figure out what was wrong. 4 days and 8 doses of antibiotics later Otis is back to his old self. Charge for the visit & meds was WAY better than what we may have paid at an emergency vet visit, and our Otis was seen by his regular vet.

I brought my cat trouble in when he was a kitten he was infested with flees and something was wrong with his ears I brought him to this vet and he was better within a week or two the staff are super nice and great at communicating they gave me lots of advice and a whole folder of papers on how to take great care of my kitty I would definitely recommend chili animal care to anyone looking for a great vet

Chili Animal Care has been my family vet for the last 20 years. The staff is amazing and they have always felt like family when it came to our dogs. I now live out past Dansville in my own home and still use Chili Animal Care for all of my animals needs. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for top quality care for their furry family members for a great price.

Great staff owner on premesis receptionists are a bit curt but they all care about your fur family ton!

Attentive staff and docs, very caring and sensitive to difficult situations. Very cost friendly compared to most vet offices.

Good vet to go to with dogs. They have several vets on staff and have met me on short notice too. Only downside is the office and equipment could use some updates

I have been a client for 15 years, and have always been treated with resoect. I have always been able to get in on an emergency basis. Their prices are very reasonable.
