Danford's Hotel & Marina, Port Jefferson NY

I would have preferred to be seated outdoors. However our friends raved about it and preferred indoor seating. It’s better in the winter to sit indoors. The food was fine, but pricey. Not sure if we will go there often.

I Love this place in the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall! The food is always delicious. The staff is always friendly. The views are so fun as the ferry docks next door and the inlet always has a gorgeous panorama. Plus, this place is kid friendly!

Rooms were not worth the price. In fact my ceiling was leaking water. They changed my room to another where part of the ceiling was hanging off. They did their best to accommodate which was nice but the rooms were at best subpar

Cozy little hotel in port Jefferson. With a little town feel and abundance of small shop's and small resterants in the area it's a great localized place to stay with marina and beach ish views rooms were clean but out dated hotel staff was very nice and accommodating

This place is amazing! Awesome location! Rachel at the front desk has been my favorite person to date she was beyond helpful!

Thanksgiving food wasn't bad and the servers were really great. They take a photo at the end of service but depending on where you sit it may or may not turn out okay.

Really disappointed in their brunch. Been to brunch there before for special occasions and thought food was good. This time was a real disappointment. Although we were the first seating the meats (bacon, ham, sausage) were dried out and tough. No longer worth the trip or cost. The bus staff very good, our waitress not so much. Also, none of the steam kettles had placards identifying what was inside. Was going to mention this to manager but thought he/she should already know.

Delightful cozy Inn convenient location in the heart of the bustling waterfront of Port Jefferson. The Inn has a spectacular view of the harbor especially from the second floor. We dined here for Christmas dinner. A delicious buffet included an array of salads, side dishes, entrees, carving station and dessert. Our entire family all agreed the food was excellent and each item offered such as the Prime Rib, Short Ribs and honey glazed ham were exceptional. My husband voted the scampi stuffed ravioli in pesto to be worthy of a second visit to the buffet where he then found clams on the half shell thus proclaiming the Danfords Inn has it all! We will be sure to return with our appetites!

Frequent flyer to the WAVE Restaurant. I live locally, and always find something new and exciting on the menu. I do have to mention that if u want a great cocktail, Stop and get a Martini or Cosmopolitan. Delicious!

It was terrible experience. My room wasn't ready when it was supposed to be, they charged me extra deposit fee which they neglected to mention before we're checked in, also a parking fee they didn't mention and blamed it on the town because they often the spot. Almost changed hotels but decided to stick it out. Wouldn't stay here again

Very nice and leisurely afternoon lunch at Wave. Food was excellent and atmosphere and view were relaxing.

Customer service was awful, had to speak to 5 people to book a room, hidden fees-$8 /night for a parking permit to park at hotel plus $75/night deposit on top of hotel room charge. Check in is late at 4pm, extra money to have a microwave in room.ridiculous!

We went for Christmas day brunch and everything was clean, beautiful, and delicious! I can not have gluten and all the platters/dishes were labeled with what was safe to eat. Very polite staff and we will definitely have to go back in the future.

Great stay over all. Wonderful view and very convenient. Negatives were the Digital key didn't work and the heat was super noisy. Definitely would recommend.

Nice and cozy hotel at the marina. Stayed at a nice room with waterfront view, only thing is the shower drain was clogged and water was building up very rapidly. Overall a relaxing weekend getaway.

The ambience at the wave is welcoming and cozy. Great staff and the food is well presented (and tastes good, to boot).

Beautiful Location and very reasonable but the rooms could use a bit of updating and the bathroom was not cleaned great (still had hair in sink, albeit mine but not removed when room was serviced). Port Jefferson is a nice place to relax for a day, but most of the shops are not unique to consider it an artsy getaway.

The room was beautiful, good was delicious and staff are extremely helpful. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to be near the water (some rooms have a water front view of the Long Island sound) and Downtown Port Jefferson.

A girlfriend and I needed a last minute room (at 4: 00 am because our flight was delayed) so we found ourselves here in the wee hours of the morning. The desk attendant was rude and not willing to help us or seek help from her superiors. There is an unreasonable policy that you cannot check in until 4 pm so she brushed us off and said sleep in the lobby and wait til it’s time to check in. We pleaded with her and asked her to call Someone that can be a bit more lenient with that ridiculous policy. She rudely ignored us and pretended to do work on the computer. With no where else to go we sat in the lobby for HOURS (carry on bags / personal items and all) when finally Karen, a complete angel, at the start of her shift was able to immediately put us in a room (at about 8 am). She gave us an original room that was recently updated; it was beautiful and modern with some old pieces. The water gets pretty hot so the shower was amazing. We had a two floor room with separate beds on each floor a tv for us both with nice clean bedding. The lounge downstairs is very intimate and the food is worthwhile. All in all an okay experience, the initial incident with the overnight desk attendant left a lasting bad taste for us so unsure if we will return.

Had a pleasant drink and appetizers at the bar. Quiet, good, polite service. The bar was clean with comfortable seating.
