It could be worse, but it's pretty bad.

Edit: it couldn't be any worse and actually accomplish anything. Three hours over two visits and the vehicle isn't registered, yet.

Doing some update to my previous review, (before I gave 5 because I got the most amazing experience with Alba, she was super nice, willing to help and answer question)
Today July 1st 2021 came to dmv, security guys arr the most disrespectful people, they couldn't be more rude or may be the can, they all are very nasty
If I could give 0 or -5 star I'll do it.

Pleasantly surprised! The whole transaction to transfer plates and register my motorcycle took.less than 20 minutes!
definitely make an appointment online and make sure you have all your documents in order and signed.the dmv website was great!

What a poorly run place. If this wasn't a mandatory place to go, everyone here would be out of work. I feel as though the employees go out of their way to make things more difficult for you.

Is negative stars an option? Their system has supposedly been down since morning. And they didn’t bother notifying anyone. So everyone showed up and was told that they “might want to come back early tomorrow at 6am. Thank you NY DMV.

Ever since they started making online appointments an option several years ago, I've been in and out fairly quickly.
Those who remember walking in without an appt.and waiting 2+ hrs know what I'm talking about.

Where people do not help each other, it is not known to anyone, so they do not let anyone go inside. Okay, let's do it. If there is no matter, whenever he does not understand it, he will go inside again. Will come out by He does not even know. To ask one thing, whoever comes along, his family members do not know what is in the DMV. If you do not know what is the license or what is the use of anything else, then a person comes to Jim India bar and comes again. What should I do forDMV people who are not good? I am speaking to some people, not speaking to all.

I had to transfer license plates the other day and it as a piece of cake, even though the computers were down that day the guys were very helpful and polite from the moment i entered. I got great service in a very short waiting time. Great job guys.

Had to write that I just had a most efficient (one hour) and professional (with all reps) experience at this Samsondale Plaza DMV! By having the correct documents with me it was a truly smooth process!

This place deserves zero stars. I waited for five hours on my birthday for a permit. The process just isn’t efficient and I am dreading returning for my license.

Made a reservation! Took Day off of work! Got paperwork together! And computers are down! Come back another day! REALLY! So unacceptable, this is one swamp that needs to be drained.

The worst experience ever waited close to 5 hours No words to describe, from 18 booths ONLY 3 are open! GET PEOPLE JOBS so more people can get served, totally disastrous! I wouldn't recommend using this location unless you have a day off

I've been going here for 34 years. Born in Brooklyn NY, Living in Rockland County since 1974. They still treat you like you're an Illegal Alien. Not a pleasant experience what so ever.

If you show up early, do your research and bring everything that you need, and be nice to the people that work there, then you will be in and out quickly and happily. Even the manager came out this morning and helped me out with my process to make things go by quicker.

THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST DMV I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!
Been here 4 hours just to make a payment on a new ID.

Staff is super slow and it looks like they hold everyone here pass 4pm so they all can make over time. You have people sitting on the floor, everyone is aggravated and the staff is just sitting around taking their time.i wish i had an option to give u less then 1 star. YOUR SYSTEM HERE IS HORRIBLE! Waste of a day

I'm waiting an hour to pay for my permit after passing. I missed 2 other app. In the process and their are no answers to any of your questions.

They treat Jewish people horribly, witnessed the man in the front pretty much accuse a man of every stereotype in the book, and when helping me, a reform Jewish person, he saw my star of David necklace and his whole demeanor changed in a snap. Maybe your employees need a course on how to treat people with respect, or maybe just how to treat people in a customer service setting in general. If I could give zero stars I would.
