Fillmore Glen State Park reviews
26Nice day trip just below Moravia, NY. Seems like it's lesser known than other state parks like Watkins Glen. Multiple hiking trails were closed but the North and South rim trails were open. Got halfway up North Rim trail and decided that was plenty enough-offered great views of the waterfall.
Amazing family place to hang out, camp, go to the park or just walk the waterfalls. Nature is a beautiful thing and this place is more than beautiful!
It's places like this that remind me why we pay taxes. You won't find many parks in the USA with so many great amenities. With huge flat spaces that are like manicured lawns, several pavilions and plenty of bathrooms. Then there's the park itself. You can spend the day hiking up one waterfall after the next. On well cared for trails and stone stepped staircases. Walk confidently across bridge after bridge and take a break under a lean-to or a sprinkling spring. You won't find a better place to enjoy the great outdoors than this! Stop in for some fresh air or camp out for a week with your family. This is one place you are sure to remember!
This is a very pretty park! Just make sure if you go once it starts snowing that there aren't a y trail closures. There are multiple trails to go on and try, and none of them are too difficult.
A unique glen. Good place to bring kid to get them to love hiking. Little bit of challenge, but not too much. Many waterfalls. Great any time of year.
This is a great park to visit. The lower section has a great waterfall in very short walking distance. Then there are different trails and waterfalls throughout the park
. Definitely a fun time!
Nice trails, some nice scenery and waterfalls. State Park campgrounds has a good shower facility. A little close to neighbors, but it's expected as a state park to me, especially with RV access.
Love the park and walking trails but the camping.not so much. Camp ground is small and way to close to the main road. We could hear traffic and see headlights from the main road at our campsite, my yard is more secluded than that campground. Definitely alot better campgrounds in the area.
I'd give it 5 stars, but I imagine that the mega mart sip and fill complex across the street makes camping less enjoyable with all the noise and light pollution.
Loved it here. Free to get in before Memorial Day and then state park fees til Labor day. The falls are beautiful
One of New York's beautiful state parks! The walk to the falls is well worth it! Great place to do some hiking. If you get to the Fingerlakes stop by! INY
Place is magical. Trails are clear and since the refurbishment the buildings are new and improved. Talk to the staff at the entrance. They are very friendly and will rocked local tips as to where t eat fish and hunt.
I've always loved this place. Very cheap and very good entertainment, healthy. Walk those stairs walk those stairs.
Highly recommended place to camp. It's definitely not for those who want the sense of being out in the wild, though. But it has excellent accommodations several playgrounds for kids. A stream runs through the main camp ground. And there are endless hiking and kayaking opportunities.
If you are a lover of nature, camping and swimming ; you are in for a treat! Easy to find and plenty of family endeavors.
Where I first told my wife (then girlfriend) that I loved her: waterfalls, breeze through hemlock trees, grassy field rolled out like a carpet, as we laid on a picnic blanket. That kind of place.
Love hiking here. Disappointed that we traveled 3 hours and come to find out it's closed at bridge 7. Please fix asap so families can enjoy the natural beauty of this place.
Camp ground is and offers a lot nice hikes to see waterfalls. Only problem we had was an inconsiderate camper wouldn't stop running his generator
This is an amazing park. There's so much to do weather you like hiking, fishing, or camping in the summer. Very nice to just have a day trip.
Nice park with a short hike to a beautiful large waterfall. There were many other trails we did not get to explore. The kids enjoyed the playground near the campsites.
