First Student, Binghamton NY

On November 4,2022, I called the company to report an incident I witness with my child getting off the bus. The man in the office didn't even let me finish my story before he cut me off. I was telling him that my child who receive bus services because he has a diagnosis disability was not crossed by the bus monitor and he ran across the street, then ran to the opposite side and ran back. He said that it is not a requirement for the bus monitor to cross the children and that my child should know how to cross the street. I said so what if he gets hit by a car? Whose fault is that. He basically blamed it on the child. I said no, your organization will get sued. He said by who, you? Then he went on to say you're saying the bus monitor is incompetent. I said yes because the kids on the bus are unruly and jump, and scream and hit on the bus (I was told this from my child, he does not like taking the bus). He said Well we are hiring if you need a job. Long story short, instead of being professional and understanding he wanted to argue with me and not get all the facts of the situation. This is very concerning to me, for the safety of children riding the bus.
