Genesee Grande Hotel reviews
37Just ok. New staff needs better training. Room was nice other than broken toilet seat. Prices were reasonable.
Wonderfully relaxing environment. Koi pond. Restaurant is excellent. Room very comfortable and quiet. Special rates if visiting one of the hospitals.
Had a very nice meal outside on their patio and service was on point. Would recommend that you check it out!
This place was great. We loved it! Nice and cool in rooms, service was with a smile, it was a fair price, clean and i slept well in the beds. Also pet friendly! Yay!
Had an employee to show you open parking spots and the bar had mojitos (rare in Syracuse). Beautiful lobby and lounge area. We were there for an event but might go there just for a drink sometime.
Service was fantastic but the room had the worst air conditioner in the world. Location was very convenient.
I had stopped here by accident as I was booked at their sister hotel but the staff still treated me with the utmost respect and politeness. Though I didn't stay in a room at that hotel, I would recommend it simply because of how polite and helpful the staff there were to me.
Probably closer to 4.5 stars. It was a really nice hotel, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and there is a restaurant in the hotel with decent food. Seemed reasonably priced.
Food wasn't even average.service was very slow. I had a turkey apricot club sandwich, which is difficult to ruin, but they did. My friend had a turkey ciabatta sandwich which they served on Pita bread. We won't be going there again.
Went for mothers day brunch buffet, food was very good, service was fine. Would go again another year.
Quick check in. Very comfortable bed, pillows and sheets. Unfortunately visit was too short to check out the bar. Lobby decor very nice.
Food was delicious and the setting was beautiful! We had a large party but our food came out very quickly.
Came here from Wisconsin for The USBC National Tournament. Smaller rooms but great price and right by everything.
Completely short-staffed. For the prices they charge, should be over-the-top service, and it wasn't. Checked in at 430 on a Friday, long wait, only ONE person working. He gave me keys that didn't work, I called the hotel operator - no one answers. I call housekeeping, no one answers! He gave me two replacement keys, only one worked. My kids wanted to rent movies, can't at this hotel. Location is great if visiting the University, and rooms were comfortable.
Easter brunch buffet is always great. Service is horrible. Had to wait 30 mins for table after our reservation time. We had to flag down our waiter many times for plate removal of plates, coffee and cocktails. For 50 per person plus cocktails extra, I would expect better service.
Our rooms were constantly over 75 degrees and they told us there was no air conditioning/ there was nothing they could do. Rooms are very small and were just painted. Overall not a great stay at all
The gentlemen at the check in were wonderful last night. Aaron the shuttle driver was also great. The gentleman bellhop that helped on Friday was very pleasant. Saturday night the other staff waitress ect.were very unpleasant
