Good Fortune Supermarket reviews
27Very racist they hired a security guard just for the black customers. They guard dont check on the Asians and whites but he follows the blacks and Hispanics and the place smells awful like something died but because not many grocery or supermarket near by we have to show patronage because the good supermarkets are bus rides away (like stop n shop and key food)
Wonderful supermarket. They sell everything including fresh fish of all kinds, Asian fresh vegetables as well as the most fresh all types of vevegetables. Ethnic store but also American items as well. Wonderful store I've been going for years and have never been dissatisfied. It is a fantastic experience to go there and see everything they have. It is a clean extremely clean store as well considering all of the items that they carry.
Free parking lot; if, for some reason, the parking lot is full, there is usually free street parking available (pls read the street signs). You should be able to find most of what you need (esp.for Chinese cooking) -fruits, veggies, meats, seafood, dairy products, ground spices, teas, snacks, dishware, cookware, etc. Good prices. A couple of bathrooms (not always clean, but when you gotta go, you gotta go).
Bonus: there's a small cooked food area with seating (at the entrance on/facing Queens Blvd). Chinese food: hot foods (congee, noodles, rice dishes, key dim sum foods, etc.) and Chinese bakery items. Great for a quick bite or coffee/tea.
For appearance, I give it no more than a 3. For selection, I give it a 5. You can pick out your own live fish, lobster, crab, turtles, etc to cook for dinner. In back, there's a lunch counter with limited seating. Lunch deal is a steal! Large takeout container, with rice and 3 sides, (you pick em) plus seaweed soup, $5.50. Everything you pick fresh from steam trays right in front of you.
Cheap stuff
But the quality not so good
Employees are rude most of them are not too friendly at all
Best selection of seafood always fresh and some alive. They clean the fish and cut it to your preference. You can find some of the best produces in town. There's a line selection of Asian Goods.
