Hilton Albany

Well The receptionist was extremely comforting, (after 6 days on the road) she was delightful, then when I called next day about checkout time, she knew without asking I was a diamond member.and gave me a late check. Sleep I very much needed, as I left gave me a great tip on were to get some breakfast, Thank you HILTON and company

I’m quite shocked that this hotel is part of the Hilton brand. We had originally planned to go to the Mystic Hilton where we stay 3-4 times a year but decided to stay local and let our toddler enjoy the indoor pool. The entrance and surrounding area looks nice and updated.the room however was the complete opposite. The toilet had dried urine on it, dirty countertop and there was some sort of red staining on the connecting door. My husband cleaned the toilet with the hand sanitizing wipes that were in the room and we tried to make the best of it by trying out the pool. The hot tub had construction cones and plywood over it and the pool itself was ice cold. At that point, after being in the hotel for less than an hour, my husband had enough and we decided to check out.

The desk attendant was very pleasant and was generous in offering us bottled water. When I mentioned the unclean bathroom, she did offer to change rooms for us but I told her about the pool and asked to either get a credit to use elsewhere within Hilton or a refund. I was told the room would be refunded in a couple of days but was unable to get any sort of receipt/acknowledgement of the refund.

I’m not a huge stickler when it comes to traveling and staying in hotels. I understand that little things can sometimes get missed. Dust doesn’t bother me and we are able wipe things down, but this experience completely missed the mark. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect that with covid going on, there is effort put in for cleaning and sanitation given they have the Hilton cleaning seal on each door. This was the first time I have ever made a complaint at a hotel.

Nice view of the ny capital building! The rooms are beautiful. And the beds were very comfortable. The staff was helpful and gave a discount on water bottles.

This hotel sucks hands down. The place is dirty. Rooms not properly cleaned so bring your own supplies. Forget about getting room service in a timely fashion. Had to change rooms twice with plumbing issues. And there's laundry service once a week and no washers or dryers on premises.

The hotel needs a serious deep clean. I haven't stayed in a hotel room that dusty in many years.

The room service and Restaurant/Bar staff is beyond amazing— specially Tom (Room Service) and Elaine (bar/ restaurant). You gotta call out hard working people with good work ethics when you see them. After working a 16 hour shift at the hospital today, all these guys wanted to is make sure where were comfortable and fed before places closed. Going above and beyond with everything they could possible offer and do for me and my co workers. Great job guys!

I stayed overnight for work. The rooms wee clean. Service was great. Bathrooms are nice. The water was hot for me, but I got up 5 in the morning so I don't know about other times. The bed was comfortable. And the breakfast was average.

Great location in downtown Albany. Easy walk to the riverfront park area and only a block away from the state capital. Friendly staff and really nice comfortable upscale rooms.

The Hilton Albany is right in the heart of downtown. It has a nice bar in the lobby, the doorpeople are nice, and there is a public bathroom on the first floor in the lobby.

This was probably the worst suite I have stayed in during my business and personal travels. Paid a premium rate on a corporate floor for a Friday overnight stay when the corporate lounge was closed. The carpet, although vacuumed, was stained, dingy and worn - in need of a good shampoo if not an overall replacement. The separate suite looked like some sort of waiting room with unimaginative decor from the 1980s - not comfortable at all. The only bathroom was miniature and looked like it hasn't been remodeled in years, along with scratches in the sink, paint peeling, and a scuffed up mirror and vanity, certainly not what would be expected with a premium room. The mattress was lumpy and saggy, and there were long strands of hair found on one of the pillows. The room was adjacent to the elevator shaft, which sounded like a sledgehammer pounding metal every time the elevator went by (a frequent occurrence on the night I stayed, resulting in about 2 hours of sleep). The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the bar food. Otherwise, the hotel was extremely disappointing.

Comfortable #hotel with convenient amenities for both the #business and #leisure #traveller.

The location in downtown #Albany is perfect for quick and easy access to local businesses as well as #tourist attractions.

The #Starbucks in the lobby is an added bonus of you're skipping #breakfast in lieu of a caffeine fix.

This was an alright hotel i wouldnt mind staying here again when i visit albany for work. Although the guy at the front counter singled me out for whatever reason and didnt take the same procedures as my other co workers for our tax exempt forms. I didnt appreciate that all.

I didn't stay there but the people that come to stay temporarily there are just visit in the city on business or whatever our Pleasant from wherever in the world they come from. The area has improved a great deal. They have a little picnic area in the back of the Hilton with a fountain. They improved it because I sent a video recording last me to our governor through Facebook. That place looks so trash and I'm sure by next year is going to be the same way and I can guarantee I will definitely make another video of it and complain about the way it looks. All they do is rave about downtown and how much business they got going on down there really there's not that much to be said. Albany is not like it used to be they're trying to improve it but they have a long way to go. Anyway the downtown area my State Street isn't so bad. But you still have a bunch of bums hang around the Hilton not right on top of it but around the area of it. They need to start housing these people that are citizens and screw the refugees. Our whole government system is a****** backwards.this town of Albany was a bright Town back in the early 80s it is nothing of the sort anymore they rant and rave about this place like there's no tomorrow

The Hilton Albany is centrally located in dowtown area. Perfect for access to goverment buildings and after hours activities and dining. Hotel has a parking garage at a typical nightly rate, but rooms were spacious and clean. On site restaurant was surprisingly good and moderately priced. For me the Gym and pool were great which if you find that important it was well kept and sufficiently served its purpose.

Executive suite wasn't really worth all of the money I spent. Pool and hot tub we're out of service the entire time I was there.and it was one of the main reasons I chose to stay there. Bathroom was incredibly small in our suite.

Not very happy that I was booked as part of a wedding block, inquired about it and they said I indeed got the wedding rate. When I checked out I asked for the receipt because I wanted to check they said you will get it in email. Check my email only to find out I didn't get the rate and their Sales manager said she cannot refund the difference after the stay is over! I also left an item and still never heard back. Not Happy!

The hotel was in a great location with a view of the state Capitol building. Service at the front desk was great and quick to respond to issues. The room was nice and clean. The air conditioning did not cool down the room very well, although it wasn't hot. I would say the temperature stayed around 75 degrees F. We had a problem with our toilet where it overflowed.

Toilet seat was dirty had to clean it and the floor of the shower was the same level as the
Rest of the bathroom floor. When I showered the entire floor outside the shower was wetttttt!

We booked a block of rooms here for our wedding and also hosted our after party in one of their rentable rooms near the bar. Everything went smoothly and we had good communication with the staff leading up to the big day.
