HVAirsoft, Carmel Hamlet NY

I was very excited to go here to play after going to check out the store a few weeks earlier to buy some supplies. So I talked a few guys at work to go, we brought our kids and went.so the group of 7 of us went to the Friday night game. We carefully read the rules on the website so we knew what to bring making sure we only brought gun we knew would pass the Chronograph. Now I had planned on buying a pistol there but got there late and had to get ready to play.first we had to pay the reasonable fee of $20 per person.then off to the chrono. The teenager in the Chrono booth did what he had to do with my gun and gave me the nod of approval with no markings on my gun. (Other places put a colored zip tie or something to let the ref's know they pass their 350fps rule) now we are called to a safety brief to tell us the rules of play and the rules of the building. I was surprised to see a small amount of people at the brief (you will see why soon). First game went off without a hitch. Your normal I hit you your out kinda stuff not bad. That was in their "TAC" room after that we went back to our stuff to reload. Game 2 and the rest of the games were in the warehouse. This is where things got interesting. It Didn't seem like my team had a chance but it's a game. Now I'm 43years old and have played paintball and airsoft a lot over the years so I have a good idea how to play. I quickly noticed that the other team was not calling their shots after watching a guy take 3-4 shots to the mask before ducking back to cover.it's a game big deal these are kids. As the games go on everyone on our team is complaining about the no one calling their shots and now getting mad so we took a different approach.our plan was to run closer to them and shoot on the run even if it meant meant taking yourself out as well. That was a much better tactic with this group. Now time for a reload in the gear room. With a little time to relax my 14yr old and a 18 yr old friend got summoned into a private room to talk to the ref's apparently they were caught on video "overshooting" so they had to sit out the next game shame on them. I sat out with them.talking to a grandfather that brought his 11yr old grandson. He said his grandson was having the same issue during our discussion it seems that there are "regulars" that makes up the other team. Now thinking about it they didn't line us up and split us off into 2 equal teams. The plaid shirts made up the other team which are the regulars. Now looking around and listening to things the ref's are calling the plaids by their names. The plaids are walking behind the counters and the parents room that has a sign " no guns" that's where the plaid's were set up.their own private lounge. Now remember when I said there wasn't many people in the the safety brief. I don't remember any of the plaid's being there. Now we are going back out to play.start of the game was the same same as the rest, so again back to the make a run for it and shoot to score a hit. Apparently they didn't like this and started to retaliate with shooting the dead. I was dead and my hands were up gun hanging from my sling across my chest as I was walking back to my respawn area and two separate (I believe) guys shot the hell out of me.when I was yelling at the guy (s) that I was out the ref yelled at me "to keep walking" (I did not like his tone) after the game we were setting up for the last game the ref that told me to keep walking came over to our table and asked us to leave. So as promised we said that we were going to leave unfavorable reviews which he responded that he didn't give a f$@k with a room full of younger kids. After we left and we're licking our wounds we also compared stories and damage.bloody knuckles.broken flashlight glass.broken sight protector.red dot glass. Just from being shot at. Again I have played before and have taken many hits, the scars on my guns plastics tells me that their guns we're running faster than the 350fps that your allowed. All in all I will not be going back with my son

I agree with the snow man kid. And y’all will catch me in a snow suit next Friday. One thing I will say is I am not a fan of that tall ref with the long air he kinda looks like buddy from elf his music selection is poor and I would beat him 1vs1 In nerf

This is one of my most favorite places to go to play airsoft. I have been going for over a year now and the staff treats me like family. So for all of you that don’t like it here don’t come back. We don’t like cheaters and people that cause problems. I also really disagree about how people talk s*** about the staff they’re really not, they are all great people.

Terrible, I've been to hva once before with different staffing and had a nice time. This time was different. It was like a completely different field.there was alot of arguing. The teams were not set up right. The refs we're buddies with the other team allowing them to do stuff we couldn't. Getting pulled aside and talked to for not calling hits, we were asked to sit out the next round. The other team was recorded on video of them not calling as well but nothing was done. Another thing, THIS FIELD IS NOT SAFE AT ALL! After a BB shattered my airsoft goggles and a 1/4 inch plexiglass scope protector. I complained to the refs, of course cause they are buddies with the "blue flannel" team, no chrono was done, the team got away with it and my team got in trouble for playing unfair and was asked to leave.thank you for the poor experience I will not be playing there again and will be spreading the word.

I will have my first experience in the air soft tomorrow at this place. I went there last week and I loved the placed and the staff was great. I really disagree with everybody that is complaining about the staff.

If you want to get lit up by HPA's turned all the way up this is the place to go!

if you love indoor cheaters this is the place to go.if you love refs that let their friends come play and cheat this is a place to go.if you like refs that play on their off time and cheat this is your place to go.

if you like a place that the refs are just there for s**** and giggles and don't call anything this is the place to go.

If I could give this business 0 stars I would.wanted to go to zulu24 but is was a little cold out so thought I would give this indoor place a shot.but I wish I stuck it out in the cold and stayed at zulu24. HVA is the worst CQB I have ever been to and most certainly will never come back.and again the reff that was playing in the German army gear should get KNOCKED!

Hudson Valley is one of my favorite places to go play airsoft. The staff is friendly to the point where you can get comfortable enough however i did have problems with the players. I'm not saying teens shouldn't play airsoft i'm 14 and I went and had a great time. However there are kids with 0 discipline, They did get pulled out in the end after some reporting. However i love the atmosphere and the staff is great and is the only place i know where you are kicked out for shooting the flag.

Best place to go and the staff is extremely helpful and nice. It doesn’t matter if your an experienced player or just beginning everybody there is nice and kind.

An awesome group of people who know how to treat the players. My son had a mishap with his brand new gun and Rob and his team were there to make it right. What could have been a major disappointment was turned into a much nicer experience. Thanks guys!

I'm from the Washington DC area and whenever I go upstate NY, I always try to visit HV Airsoft. With a spacious arena and decent pro shop, this place is sure to impress.

I always meet new people every time I go, the workers are so helpful and fun to play with especially around holidays like Easter damn I had a great time can't wait to go again

If you want to meet some great new friends, have some omg what just happened moments and love airsoft definitely check out HVAIRSOFT. It is conveniently located and has two awesome courses, one of which is frequently changed. I can't wait to go again!: D

Very helpful and nice I bought a gun from them and halfway through the day it was dryfireing but within 10 min they had it fixed

In all fairness the facility conceptually is great, and the store seems decent. The issue is mainly with management who has kids pretty much running the place and doesnt seem to place any priority on customer satisfaction. Much more enjoyed Zulu 24, visit at your own risk!

First the refs there think the have invincibility when it comes to not calling there hits I also bought a gun from there the day I went played with it for a total of 6 hours and now it doesn't work do not go here and do not buy from here

When you have been there enough they treat you like family. They will always treat you fairly. If you are honest and honorable in the field you get the same treatment back from the staff. Have had my stuff repaired by them. They gave it back the same way it was when I left it with them except with the repairs or upgrades. Every time during the winter, fall, or raining I go to HVA.

HVA was where i started airsoft and the staff and the experience are great, their store is stocked with guns affordable for beginners and some high end guns.overall its a great experience and would definitely recommend people who want to start airsoft and live in the Hudson Valley to go there.
