Irving Plaza reviews
39One of the best smaller music venues in the city. Standing only for every GA show I've gone to, consider paying to get in the balcony for better views. Typical expensive bar. Don't bring a bag, their security is intense and they will rifle through it.
Very spacious. Saw EDEN and VERITÈ in April and it was lit! Came for VERITÈ though lol. I wonder if the balcony is for VIP only.
Great little venue. I've seen so many good shows there over the course of my entire life. Professional and friendly staff.
Great venue overall. Sound is great, show floor has a good amount of space. Been here way too many times
Came here to see Country Music Singer Song Writer Randy Houser. What a great neighborhood this venue is in. The venue was great.
I’ve been to so many concerts here for over ten years.most recently I saw Eric B and Rakim.had to be the best performance I’ve seen him give.
Past shows have been mostly metal bands such as Suffocation and Origin.
The people who run this place know how to put together a quality concert. About as clean as you can expect a venue to be. The sound has never been a problem.
Also it’s at a central location: right near the Union Square train station. You can take the 4,5,6, N, R and L trains here.
Lit in hi hop shows but people need to learn how to stand their ground and not put all their weight on someone. We just tryna jump up and down or mosh around but all people do is get pushed, get mad about being pushed (ego gets in the way) and then push back; the cycle continues. Still lit tho.
Nice small venue in Manhattan. It never seems to attract enough acts (possibly because so many smaller bands seem to affiliate with Bowery Presents locations). However, I would much rather see a band here than out in the boondocks at Brooklyn Steel, for example.
A great music venue. Large open space on the 2nd floor. Bar at the back wall. Downstairs bathrooms, bar, lounge and a coat check for $4. There is a balcony and I didn't check but believe it's VIP. Sound was great and lights were fantastic.
Came here for a singer from China, Song, Dongye. Music is good. But no seats in the theater. Standing 2 more hours with a so called VIP ticket.
The venue and event staff were not organized when it came to lining everyone up outside the venue, the fans pretty much did everything. Once in the venue it wasn't too bad. They also tried to kick everyone off their side of the street (the whole street from the corner of 15th to the corner of 16th) after the concert. Some of us were waiting for rides to get home. The concert made up for everything.
First time attending this venue and the experience was phenomenal. The show put on by Andrew McMahon and friends was of top quality. The facility seemed to be decently up kept. The sound quality though.crystal clear and just the right volume. In the middle of the show someone was having health issues and the staff handled it very well. After the show they were even kind enough to get us some water while cleaning up.
Great spot for a comcert spacious and easy access with vip area, just need to start on time for concert but besides time its a great spot
I loved the event and i loved the setting. I hated the fact that noone knew where to direct us. I paid for a VIP package and did not recieve what i was suppose to recieve. All together it was a great experience though i just hoped for it to be a bit more organized.
First time there for Kamelot on 4/20. Sound is great, don't get complaints about location of bathrooms? Balcony set up with standing is a little odd but I'll get used to it with more visits. A cool place glad I made it there.
Best venue ever. Typical drink prices. Small and intimate venue. Have been here numerous times. Also near accessible trains
Decent venue for live music Layout is a bit weird to get into the performance area when doors are closed but that's not a huge issue.
Located just east of Union Square in New York City, Irving Plaza is a NYC music landmark. The historic building has been a music venue since the late 1970's and has featured bands including Talking Heads, U2, Red Hot Chilli Peppers among scores of others. One of my first shows as a self sufficient teen was seeing Modern English in the mid 1980s.
