Karaoke City reviews
33Prices are high, but to be expected. There's an extensive song and liquor selection. But really, this place needs better management. The open mic is chaos. Nobody is running it, so people just pass the mic around and you might get pushed out of singing the song you requested. The private rooms are good, but DO NOT DO OPEN BAR. They will never come back to take your second order. If you complain, they might not charge for the second hour of open bar and bring another round of drinks. I don't know if they're intentionally taking advantage of their customers, but it certainly feels like it. I'll try East Village next time I want to do karaoke
Prices are reasonable and staff is very nice - thank you Dojin, John, and Kim!
Taking off one star because they don’t have a touchscreen to search and queue for songs. You have to look through a book, which is pretty outdated in my opinion.
We had a really good time here, but my one complaint is that they never explained it was $8 for karaoke or $20 for open bar and karaoke. The server made it sound like you could only choose the open bar option, which means we spent $28/person which was not disclosed to us in the beginning. Since we had the open bar, our server hardly came. We only had an hour of karaoke and we kept pressing the call button and no one would come. By the time we had 10 minutes left, I finally went out to go grab a server and in total we only got 2 drinks. Karaoke here was really fun but I feel like we got scammed and did not get our money’s worth of drinks when we paid for open bar.
Great fun place to enjoy and hangout with office team. Loved the first Karoke evening with team and the drinks were great for her price too.
Nice setup. Keep and eye on the staff as we ended up with an unusual charges for people and drinks that were inaccurate. At the end of the day, it's our responsibility to keep an eye on an accurate head count and accurate drink order. Lesson learned.
Let's just say don't plan on buying drinks here. Just don't do it, but the karaoke is great. $40 for a private room and a ridiculous song list is more than fair. The rooms are a bit small, so if you feel like signing at the bar it's $2 a song which is still really good. It's a fun little place.
I'll be honest I've never come here for karaoke, but it's a great place to come to and have a drink while you're waiting for jongro Korean BBQ a few floors down
Lots of fun, easy music selection. Just watch out for the beverage prices, drinks are very expensive.
Lots of song variety. The system they use for non-English songs is opaque but has tons of songs if you're willing to put in the time to learn it. The English song system is intuitive, but has less variety.
This is a fun karaoke bar. The bar area has karaoke but the private karaoke rooms are really cool. They have rooms of all different sizes. We were in a smaller room but because more people kept joining us, they moved us to a larger room. It was really cool. There we lots of tvs, comfy seats, and stages. It's a good spot to hangout with friends or host a party. The service was great and they have reasonable drink deals.
They just need a better system to pay for your experience. My family had lots of fun. Only other drawback was you'd press the service button and get no service.that's the point if you have to get up and find help or get what you want?
Amazing experience! Decent song selection, just type in your song number and sing your heart out while your served your choice of drink and food. Be sure to watch your time in the booth if you don't want to break the bank.
If you like korean-style karaoke. Plus you enjoy semi expensive drinks. This might be a spot for you, they have these rooms that can accommodate anywhere from 5 to 25 people all at once. With these song books that cater to all types of different genres of music. They also have nightly specials on certain drinks and Cocktails make sure to ask for that. Don't forget to tip your karaoke room person
Their songs list did not have any new songs. The host ask if we wanted any drinks from the menu. She could not tell us what was in each drink. We just went to the bar.
The place was really clean and the service was great. A situation occured while I was there involving a group walking in there while smoking. It clearly said no smoking in there and I loved the way the staff handled the situation. Will definitely go back
They have great rooms available to reserve, and the public room is really fun as well. $2 a song seems reasonable to me. Drink menu is decent too. Service was a little touchy - bartenders etc did not seem happy to be there but you're listening to bad karaoke all night, I get it.
It was okay, took too long for the food to come, the songs are a bit off, and in spite of all that me and my girls had a good time
It's always a great evening with friends at KC - and we always make more friends.
I love the wide selection of songs (even several in Spanish and Italian!). The system can have a few glitches, but 90-95% of the time they find the song (& if not, they let you choose a different one). Very affordable drinks, nice staff, fun evening!
Visited for 10 year old birthday party. The room was typical, dark with large screened televisions to display songs and lyrics. The first set of staff that we encountered was very nice and accommodating. When the party was over, we ran over time by a few minutes and the guy on the next shift was literally throwing our items out of a room that we were using for storage of coats and party items. We had to stop him and he was very rude in his response. We cleaned up and it took us a very long time to get the party supplies and everything out of the venue because the elevator took forever to come. The elevator only stops on the second floor and the 7th floor where we were and it was always packed with lots of people. We asked about the stairs and the security guard told us they lock the staircase on the weekends to prevent people from smoking in the stair case. Can you say FIRE HAZARD? That was my first and last time visiting even though I had a decent time.
Great staff, they dealt with my drunk friends very well. Cheaper than some of the other karaoke clubs in the city and nicer quality. We'll be going again!
