Karaoke City, New York NY

Admittedly have never been to this kind of karaoke before, so i dont really have a price point or quality comparison to make. But man oh man was this a great night!

Well maintained and friendly staff. They were able to find us a room at 10 PM on a Friday night. It was cheaper than other places in Ktown and cost $144 for 3 hours for 6 people.

The room that we were in was nice, no odor, and clean. Compared to Duet 35, this place was 20 times better in terms of quality. They even had hooks for our coats. The sound system was clear and the music wasn't muffled. In the English book/playlists you could choose to play the song with the original music video. I thought it was convenient that you could use an app to find the music rather than manually searching.

I'm giving it a four stars because:
1) service was slow. Maybe in part since it was a busy Friday night. But my friend had to ask 5 times for his drink until it was finally served about 30+ min in.
2) International song selection is lacking. Unlike duet the international and English system aren't combined. They're separate and you have to manually switch between English or international.
3) when booking we asked to stay for 2 hours. Unlike at Duet where they call you about 5-10 min before your session is up, Karaoke City does not call you. Thus, why my friends and I stayed for three hours. I suppose it's a money making idea since time seems to fly when you're having fun butchering song lyrics.
4) The Alcohol was also more expensive than some other karaoke bars I've been to, but this was located directly on 32nd Street.

Typical karaoke spot in ktown - i wish they gave us a bigger room for our party of 10+. We felt a bit squeezed in there.

It’s a kool place. Music organization isn’t their forte, songs are very difficult to find. They are also very pushy and will interrupt the party to discuss who’s paying for what and who’s unlimited, etc.a tad embarrassing that’s all. I survived it.

Loved this place! Very accommodating, clean, and great variety of songs. It was our first time using the karaoke remote so we struggled a bit at first but the employees were quick to help and continuously checked up on us (also giving us a count down until we had to leave). Be aware this place is NOT BYOB but they have a bar and when I went had a deal for 4 Jaeger shots for $20 So not bad. It is a bring your own FOOD and they had a food menu (on the pricey side). I think it was decently priced $8 per person per hour but I wish it was BYOB. Still recommend it though!

Prices are high, place seems to have no mood. Seemed like a cool spot for sports or beer pong but damn its empty every time i go and the bartender is Zzzz

Great large rooms for team or friends karaoke. Bar area with TVs and pong too. Not packed and spacious. Hidden gem.

DO NOT TRY THIS PLACE! These guys take your card to reserve a room and then lose your card! If that isn’t bad enough already, they then still expect you to somehow pay the check!

Very clean, new karaoke joint. The rooms are nice. They have a big bar and drink service is very good. Song selection is decent.

Good spot for karaoke. The room had a window so it was less claustrophobic than other places. They let you bring in a cake.

Excellent place to have fun with friends. You can bring your own food and decorations. Great service, the only thing is that they do not have a great variety of tracks. They do not have salsa, merengue or reggae music. But I will definitely come back!

Great space, Stylish, clean restrooms, good Karaoke time and great service. Had a lot of fun here. 10 of us fit into a room comfortably.

Little pricey. If you want to sing with your friends in private this is the place to go. Staff are friendly.
