La Marina / The Hudson reviews
29Great place to go eat in the summer. I came here on a Friday evening and Sunday evening. Both times the food was great and so were the drinks. The alcoholic beverages were not watered down. The sexy lemonade was horrible though, but they exchanged it without a problem for another drink. At first I was skeptical of coming here because I was afraid of it having the same atmosphere of the other restaurants on that street that closely resemble a club. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a family friendly spot and laid back atmosphere with great views. Will be returning!
My favorite place in Inwood. The service is superb and the drinks are great. The menu had a vegan mac but it was unfortunately removed. The only main dish avaliable for a vegan is only veggie sushi. It was great having more avaliable options.
It almost makes me mad that a restaurant this bad occupies a space that is so gorgeous and scenic. I really haven't had a worse restaurant in New York. The food was bland AND took more than an hour to come out and the service was almost nonexistent. The only saving graces were the delicious drinks and views. My advice to the owners since I see them reply to so many reviews: learn how to manage a restaurant beyond numbers and yelling at staff. These are not problems stemming from the pandemic but are a mismanagement of talent and resources. It feels like there is no formal or true leadership to steer this business.
The food was great, server could have been a bit more talkative had more energy, probably tired day was hot I guess the music was good, view is beautiful, fast service would recommend & definitely will go back ate a shrimp quesidilla my wife was very pleased with her food as well
Decent food and drinks, but pretty expensive. Unfortunately they have terrible customer service so for that I won’t be going again.
The food was fine, but that’s the only reason it gets anything above 1 star (and by fine I mean it wasn’t awful but wasn’t something to rave about).
What’s awful is the service. We waited 45 min for a table, fine, but then we sat and ordered right away and it took an hour for ANY food to come out. Within that hour, no one came to our table to apologize or assure us our food is on the way. No on asked if we needed more drinks or were doing okay.
We were about to get up and leave and order a pizza when the food finally came out. No one apologized, no one adjusted the check for us, nothing. The only person who acknowledged anything was the busboy, our waitress didn’t say a thing.
We recently moved to the neighborhood so we were hoping to find a restaurant we loved and could frequent, this wasn’t it. We won’t be going back.
Beautiful views and lighting was amazing. Great place to take pictures. I just wished the DJ at the event I went to there knew how to use the volume. I was deaf after that night just way too intense.
Food was great, service was not so great. Never knew who our server was, multiple people came to table when we flagged them down, had to ask for bill.
This may be a long subway ride to Inwood but the waterfront view and breeze is completely worth it! Happy hour oyster special but no deals on cocktails. Food was okay. Service was absolutely horrendous so be prepared for a long wait, messed up order, and someone else's bill on your credit card. BUT, that view.
It was a fun experience. Nice place to have a drink and dance. The food was ok. They need a bigger menu but I guess most people dont go there to eat. My advice eat on the strip then go to la Marina for drinks
I don’t know about other reviews, my babe girl brought me for the first time to La Marina, and it was amazing. Foods are great service was amazing. Thank you guys. I will definitely come back.
Portions were very small and expensive for what you get. Service was a bit slow. Could at least have served bread on the side but definitely preferred to make the portions bigger, especially since a lot of previous reviews have the same complaints. I would go here for drinks or a very beautiful summer day since the surroundings are beautiful, not for the food. Maybe a greater cocktail place.
I love the vibes of La Marina. You can’t beat the views! I always feel like I’m on vacation when I come to this place. It’s relaxed and the food is great (try the lobster with roasted corn)!
This best part of the evening was our food and the location. The service wasnt horrible but I did have to wave down the waiter often. It wasnt very busy but he was very distracted. Over all, great food, great music, people are dressed up. I'd go back
Drinks were weak xenia the waitress had a pooooor attitude we were 12 having a bachelorette party ready to spend money we all left very dissapointed n after the first round venue is extremely beautiful!
A decent restaurant with a nice view riverside. Food is average. I ordered the Belgian Waffles & my friend's ordered lobster roll, chicken & waffles & a fish sandwich. We came for Brunch. Drink options were mimosa, bloody mary & a fritz. The place is nice & service is good. I don't think the food lives up to the cost. It's not anything new or exciting.which is fine but the taste isn't classic either. You're paying for the view.
A couple of friends and I stumbled upon La Marina for dinner and drinks after spending the day at The Cloisters. This place is in a great location, has beautiful views of the Hudson/GW Bridge and very good steak!
I highly recommend it to anyone looking to for a place to relax and unwind after spending a day trekking around the Cloisters.
Looking forward to have another steak at La Marina.
Gorgeous scenery but a questionable bar program dominate this Hudson hotspot. ‘Craft’ frozens and over priced beers will have me returning for food and a gorgeous dock. I hear the beach nightlife is to try again. Where else can you get waterfront in the heights?
Food is great, just wish they concentrated Menu a little More for kids. Considering they lease from Parks Department there application is public
Beautiful place, awesome ambient. The food is good but portion are too damn small and you have to pay extra for sides. Good place to have a snack and drinking. Music is good and flexible
