La Marina / The Hudson reviews
29Great waterside restaurant. Good food. Reasonably priced. Great bar area on the river with DJ and cool vibe.
This place is great for the Summer! For the life of me, I don't understand why this place is not packed on Saturday night! It has a dj, bar, outdoor lounge seating, views and dancing!
Sat right on the water with such an amazing view of the Hudson. The service and the food were amazing. The atmosphere was great and the music selection was just right!
The only reason I didnt give it five stars is because of the location of the restuarant. The neighborhood is not one of the best. They cannot help that.
This place is amazing. They have great food, incredible cocktails, a super friendly staff, and killer happy hour deals! Hands down I ne of my favorite places for after work drinks with friends
Waiter wasn't friendly and food option wasn't as much as usual places. Parking was hard to find. It rather ok to chill with friends and co workers though
The food menu here is not that great if you are hungry or if you are looking for dinner. The view in the other hand is phenomenal from any angle. The drinks are good but very pricey and since it is the only place for a couple of block I guess they can get away with it. Overall, my experience here was good but I don't see myself coming here anytime soon. Also, if you dislike people smoking next to you, then you should avoid this place.
The place is physically very nice. Lots of people work there, menus look decent, etc.
The food is above average but not by much. The service is very slow and a bit innatentive (odd considering there is plenty if staff).
We had seafood platter for two and ribeye steak. Like a lot of places in NYC, if your food has some sort of Latin element it is likely to be better as odds are decent the person cooking it has a Latin background - case in point, the ceviche, chimmichurri, and salsa Verde were the three most flavorful items we ordered.
We had been given a generous gift certificate to the restaurant, otherwise we wouldn't have gone. While I had a great time, with a great view, I wouldn't go back and pay the inflated prices for the quality of food and service.
On our way out a bunch of guys were considering eating. They asked me, "good or great? " "It's good, " I said. "But not great. "
We are cruisers and wanted to visit La Marina on our way through NYC. We were coming via the Hudson, but could not get in touch with anyone in regards to docking. They never pick up the phone and we emailed the dockmaster twice and never received a response. Too bad, it looks like a nice stop.
I came here for drinks in the lounge, and my friends and I ended up ordering some food off of their Small Bites menu and had a great time! The view is really pretty, especially at sunset, and the staff was friendly and helpful! Really nice atmosphere and will definitely be coming back.
