Maimonides Medical Center reviews
3495 degrees outside and no working air conditioning in rooms. This is the second time my dad has been here without adequate air conditioning. He has a heart condition and is sweating profusely. Stay away.
All doctors nurses are good. My son is here from 8 days hopefully he will get better. The most important thing in this hospital is taking pictures of young kids When father and mother ID is scanned why would security take kid and teen girls pictures or they ask me to leave my daughter in the lobby. Every 10 feet there is security cameras but young females have to take photo.
Baby birth department and staff was horrible
Anesthesia person with bad attitude and unexperienced very bad for pregnant ladies.
For that much of money you pay they dont deserve a penny for their work.
I was born here nothing was wrong i was prefelty fine, no issues at all, even though i see a lot of negitive reveiws
My experience at Maimonides was terrible. I was told to come back on a Tuesday when I came in through the ER on Monday. One of the receptionists then said that I “never had an appointment” and that I was “never registered”, BUT in the same breath then said I was told to “come back tomorrow at 2: 30”. My good ppl who are reading this.is that NOT CALLED AN APPOINTMENT? They refused to give me a letter saying I was there for either of those days. Trash hospital.
First of all, they don’t really care about their patients they only want money.they do unnecessary procedures.horrible. DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE
My mom wait for a bed in emergency room for over 24 hours. Avoid this place at any cost. Unprofessional, irresponsible, terrible and nothing change since my dad died in that hospital 15 years ago.
Wonderful experience.nothing but praise for the staff on facilities.highly recommend this Hospital
My father was take to MMC over packed ER with a heart attack. He waited 36 hours to get a bed on the Cardiology floor. The first 24 hours in the ER, he was NEVER hooked up to a Cardiac Monitor! They hooked him up the next morning, when they were able to free up a monitor from another patient. UNREAL! I found the staff, from nurses to physicians rude and disrespectful to patients. STAY AWAY! Transfer to a Manhattan hospital as soon as they stabilize you!
This is extremely stressful experience to have cesarean section or version procedures done here. They always run out of rooms, neglected your needs and postpone you to the last possible time because it's not "urgent". And all of this after you scheduled the appointment week before exact procedure. I am sitting here for 5 hours and they didn't call me yet.
Never EVER come here. I’ve been here for 9 hours already and have only had an EKG and chest X-ray done. I’ll probably be here another 2 hours for my discharge papers.
My sister did surgery in this hospital they dosn’t have good nurse they can’t do an injection 10 time my sister was to tired!
Went there for ambulatory surgery on 9/26/18 and was greeted by the clerk as number 20 never addressed me by my name. He never introduced himself or wore a visible name tag. Was very distance from his job. Totally had
No interest in his work. Should have a job were he wouldn't have to deal with people. Very disappointed.
Horrible experience. Stroke patient waiting over 24hrs in ER to be transferred to 8 bed stroke unit with no updates or eta. Avoid this hospital at all costs.
Wait time is over an hour and still counting! Have patients sitting on top of each other! Inattentive staff no idea when I’ll be seen or if I’ll be seen.
If I had the option for no stars I would have done it.
Very bad experience, neglecting staff, horrible waiting time.
Doctors don’t communicate and doesn’t not remember patient’s symptoms.
We had to wait for CT results to be read and finalized for 10 hours because they said they have one radiologist only who comes to work at 9: 00am while CT was performed at 3: 00am.
Very disappointing medical care.
My grandpa died here. We were told that he was going to be OK and, less than a day, he passed away.
I wish there was an option to give no stars, but lets begin this disgusting experience that my family did not expect from local hospital Coney Island. The amount of frustration and waste of time they gave us is unthinkable. Staff is slow, no one take responsibility, no one cares here how you feel. I wish best of luck to who ever falls a chance to be here. Unbelievable
BEWARE! Of the pediatricians in Maimonides Medical Center as they might say that the parents are wasting there time by bringing your child there and then turn around and call ACS to have the parents kids takend away from them and say that the parents are crazy and they violated my hipaa rights so far warning!
The worst hospital in NYC ever,
Only one doctor for whole emergency room and he just graduated by 0 experience. Moreover, after 8 hours they told me I have to wait until morning to see another doctor.
There's no one cares.
