Hawaiian Restaurant Makana reviews
29The Staff is Very Friendly and welcoming. The food is AMAZING! So worth coming and tasting for yourself.
We ordered catering from Makana for an event, and everyone loved the food! The dumplings were reasonably priced and very tasty. The skins were light and crispy, the fillings were pleasantly savory, and the sauce had a good balance of flavors. The staff were so accommodating, and gave us free plates and silverware. I would definitely recommend.
Very disapointed! Ordered a delivery of the garden bowl and they forgot the edamame and kimchi.so I got a bowl of rice for $15 with very few mushrooms and the tofu was very oily. Not even that tasty.
They recently remodeled and redid their menu (for the better). The store front is beautiful and the menu isn't overwhelmingly long. Their food is still amazing too
I lived in Hawaii for years. Had the short ribs. Wheeew broke da mouth! That means amazing in haole.
I'm sad giving them a rating of 2 star. I was really hopeful about their take out food. The loco moco was disappointing. The eel sushi rolls were fine. But the main dish was tiny for the price theyre asking us to pay. Also there's little to no gravy and each corn cob was 1 inch thick. I wouldnt have minded if I knew ahead of time that they serve smaller portions but the quality wasnt good. However, the food was delivered in time so
Makana has dramatically improved their look and their menu. The poke and BBQ beef short ribs tasted fresh and better than ever last time when we ate there (December 3,2017). The Upper West Side is lucky to have this hidden gem on W106th.
Good that they deliver too. But no wait when we went in-person.
Lucky we live NYC eh?
Makana used to have an amazing selection including their Steak Taco and Teriyaki Chicken combo with macaroni. Now that they did their renovation, their menu is missing key choices. Many have even claimed the quality has gone down. Just goes to show that the recent makeover of the restaurant has created disdain to their loyal customers.
