Manetamed Barber by Hairrari- Williamsburg reviews
27I have been coming to this barber for 4 years. I have done undercuts, pixies to mullets. I don't trust anyone else! Veronica is a hair wizard!
I've been to every Hairrari location, and they're all awesome! Writing here because the Williamsburg one is closest to me off the G and I've gone there the most!
Okay, first of all, Hairrari is super queer and queer-friendly. Not only do half the barbers rock the queer mullets and undercuts many of us only dream of, but they're really cognizant regarding language and pronouns! It's definitely very safe and welcoming to folks in the LGBTQIA+ community.
Second, the locations are all so nice. They all have water and other refreshments. I've never waited for my appointment for more than five minutes. The stations are clean, and the products are really great. I haven't been there yet during times of COVID, but my friends have, and I know they're taking a ton of precautions to keep customers (AND their barbers) feeling and being safe.
Thirdly, I cannot recommend seeing Stormy enough! She's an incredible barber, and a kind human being. I went into Hairrari for the first time with long hair, wanting a short haircut — I told Stormy about short cuts I've had in the past that didn't work for me, and she took her time to understand what I was looking for and what would make me feel comfortable. She ended up totally transforming my hair into something even better than I was expecting, so much so that I actually cried tears of queer joy after leaving the shop and taking a ton of selfies I've been seeing Stormy consistently ever since, and I always love my haircut.
Only if you have been to another place you can compare how good hairrari is.veronica was great:) i regret that i didn’t wait patiently for available time slots to get my much needed afterlockdown haircut
This was one of the worst haircuts I've ever received. I'm so upset by the way it turned out. I got my haircut by Maia and asked her to follow the cut I already had. I showed her pictures of the style I wanted and asked her to just trim my hair, keeping most of the length. I had wavy / semi-short hair when I walked in and left with what looks like an overgrown buzzcut I did myself. All of the waves in my hair are gone, and I was left with really choppy and unevenly cut spikes on the top of my head. Everything is so poorly executed from the cut, to the shape, to the style of my hair, and it looks nothing like what I asked for. It's honestly so bad, I'm not even sure if it can be fixed without completely shaving my head. Absolutely not worth your money.
Went here for the first time and it was an incredible experience. It was a bit pricey so I can't go as regularly as I'd hope, but Veronica did a great job and gave me exactly what I wanted. They're very friendly, attentive, and thorough. After a long day at work, it was also nice to be offered a beverage prior to my cut
A great place to get an affordable haircut in Williamsburg. This has become my local go to barber after multiple visits.
Found this place online and the reviews where and nice but over price I could have found another place for $18 in the hood. Over rated all these type of places that are popping up is nice but over price.
Service is good. I don’t love the remodel, and Vivian left New York. I tried two other barbers but ended up not satisfied and have moved on to a new shop that is half the price.
The prices have gone steadily up over the last couple years, but Arthur is awesome at men's cuts.l
Arthur cut my hair but i imagine anyone working there would do as good a job. Very friendly, very relaxed, and a great hair cut.
Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Garo gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had for a very reasonable price. Will definitely come back when I'm in town!
Manetamed exceeded all my expectations. I went in the shop to give my long hair a transformation to a pixie cut. I was amazed how welcoming everyone was. My barber took the time to listen to me and address all my needs. Everyone keeps commenting on how great my hair looks. I cannot stop raving about this place to all my friends!
Fresh cut every time I walk out the door (shoutout to Marsel). Hip decor meets relaxed vibes that play throughout the shop. Receive the full treatment here, including neck shave, hot towel rub and complimentary beer.
$45 for a cut. Solid scissor-work and comfortable atmosphere. For the price though, I expected the typical amenities at a hipster/trendy barbershop - missing: no hot towel, no straight-razor neck shave, no shot of bourbon. That's how we do it in San Francisco.
There are barbers on the other side of the freeway who do nearly (nearly) as good for $18. Up to you if the extra money is worth it.
I'm very picky with my haircuts, and Alx did a phenomenal job. She's got the skills, and she's totally cool. She use some cutting techniques on my hair that I'd never had done before, and I love the way it came out. I'll definitely go back!
Don't think twice about it. Excellent in every way. This is the kind of place you almost don't want to review as you are afraid everyone will find out about it and then it will be impossible to get in!
Probably the best haircut I've ever gotten. Vivian was fantastic- super nice and knows exactly what she's doing. The shop is nicely done up, unpretentious and friendly!
I move around a lot and am not from America which makes me sad because I probably will never get a hair cut as dope/fresh/lit as the one Nick (one hell of a dude) gave me this afternoon.nice environment and the sickest cutting experience I've had.the only place (literally in the world so far) that's been able to put the vision of my hair on my head. I've kept the pictures to show all future barbers. Stay lit manetamed
Love getting my cuts here by Vivian. Love Marty the dog. Relaxed atmosphere. Been going regularly for almost a year now. Couldn't be happier.
$40 for a short hair haircut.better to make an appointment.hipster friendly staff but the place is super messy and doesnt have enough mirrors.awful art decorates walls and unless you check the website first, price is a surprise (no signs) and tips must be cash.
