Manetamed Barber by Hairrari- Williamsburg, Brooklyn NY

I had an *amazing* experience at Manetamed today.

I arrived super nervous because it's my first haircut away from home (England) and I usually enjoy haircuts as much as sitting exams (FYI, I'm not one of those people who loves sitting exams). I was offered a drink and was showed where the drinks fridge is (nice touch) and I was offered a seat whilst I waited my turn (because in typical nervous fashion I turned up really early).

I spoke to at least 3 people during my visit and everyone was so lovely and friendly.

I never know what I want when I go to a hairdressers; I just approximate a length and hope for the best, relying on the skill of the stylist to do something that just doesn't look ridiculous, and of course I also secretly hope that it'll look super-amazing.

My stylist was Nick and he was so friendly. Chatty without being overly so and full of interesting conversation which put me right at ease. He explained what he was going to do before washing my hair, which also put me at ease, and then went for it.

I absolutely love my haircut and I'm actually looking forward to going back again.

Easy-going staff, pleasant on the phone and in person. Marcel took care of me and gave me a perfect cut without any of the fiddling that I'm used to in cheaper salons; he heard me out, made suggestions, and gave me options he thought would work for me. So quick, too.

I'm usually not satisfied with neither my haircut, nor my beard, as they usually turn up meh. But oh my, I was happy here! I've finally gotten a new standard to compare others to! Just excellent results, and the service was the best I've ever had! A really laid back atmosphere, and friendly staff. Nick did an absolutely perfect job, both technically with my hair and beard in addition to just being a really great guy! This place is from this moment on, hands down my favorite barber shop!

I always get great cuts. Sam is my go-to, but I've never had a bad cut. Everyone is really good at what they do and friendly to boot.

I will admit that I was skeptical, but my roommate recommended this place to me. I am the kind of guy who just goes to a regular, run-of-the-mill barbershop, no frills. I expected that Manetamed would be too hip and/or trendy for me. However, I was wrong and the guy who cut my hair did a tremendous job. He was so focused and paid such close attention to detail and the haircut turned out to be the best haircut I have ever received. Thank you, I will definitely come back.
