Marcus Garvey Park reviews
37Nice spacious park. There’s a bit of construction going on, so you won’t be getting the full aspect of the park.
A nice little park to take a stroll during the day. Don't recommend to go alone during the late afternoon. There is some drug activity noticable during this hour. It was nice to see families with kids picnicking and playing.
Beautiful n large Park for family's. There is a swimming pool for summer time swimming. Basketball hoops Playgrounds. A Mamper Theater for shows in the park n a dog run for your dog to play with other dogs.
One of the best sceneries in New York City. Get to see the beautiful Greenery the people sitting down having fun laughing and talking with your friends and family the children playing in the park I mean it can't get no better than this. How could you not love this beautiful Park?
Alot of beggars and whinos in the park. Luckily there are spots to avoid these unwanted interactions.
Gorgeous amphitheater and public art projects throughout. Saw Classical Theatre of Harlem’s production of “Antigone” here.
The recreational center is off the hook love the gym and I've taught dance classes it's a great space and place to be for kids and family.
Nice park but when to crowded you no what happens fights and gun shooting even during the day i wouldn't recommend this park to my worst enemy.
Surprizingly clean for all the damage the area bring into it. Staff keeps up with the upkeep and does a great job. Pool is safe and lockers are monitored. Police regularly patrol. Overall i would visit on a recreational basis. My opinions are based on working at Marcus Garvey on temp basis.
My neighbirhood park for over 20 years. Itss a little rough looking sonetimes but has a nice vibe and very well situated. The chess games here are serious so put your pro pants on lol
The park is kept nice and clean by the ground crew
There is an Olympic size public pool were all ar welcome to swim or just cool down. There is a recreation center and a Newly renovated Amphitheater.basketball courts, a wonderful baseball field and areas were the kids can safely play.
Great venue for performances. Need to clean up the urine stench around though. Drain the large puddles after rain.
Wonderful evening watching terrific production of Sophocles' "Antigone". The script had been pared down to create an amazing 1hr show! Great performances. Intricate precision choreography!
Daughter had her birthday Bar-B-Q here. Quiet, serene, everything I thought it would be. Park has a bad reputation by you wold know it that day. Still wouldn't be there after dark.
Upsetting that they have a large patch of grass that none is allowed to enjoy a game of frizby.touch football.
Best place for free jazz and theatre in the park. And the recreation center has awesome workout classes.
A beautiful, well maintained park with lots of areas for kids to play. Excellent place to spend a weekend afternoon. They also have events regularly in the amphitheater.
