Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service, Elmont NY

Say they open at 7am don’t open at 7am. Say they closed at 8pm came by at 7pm store was closed and gated like it was 9pm.

Gave 2 stars because the parking lot, that’s where I’ve been spending my time when I come here on time.

I would avoid this place like the plague. Even if you need a repair and are willing to pay the high prices. They will lie to you, inconvenient you, and change the price upon a phone call.
I went in there knowing what I needed and what had to be done.
They told me I needed another part to go along with the repair that I didn’t know of they and had to out source the part because they didn’t have it.
They said they’ll call me.they never did.
Days following I went to my friendly street mechanic/ friend of family.
We went to the parts (Arch parts) store to purchase what I originally asked for at pep boys and guess what the part they said they that they had to out source / and cost extra money, it was already in the box it comes as a kit.
So in case you missed it.pep boys of elmont tried to charge me extra for something that already comes in as a kit along with other parts I knew I was going to need.

Pep boys of Elmont said my bill is gonna cost extra because they had to search dealers to find it. My car is old btw. The dealer wouldn’t have no part for this older model car.
Read this review and beware. This is what they did to me.
Glad I didn’t need them but they tried to scam me.
Why though? It was the time of big stimulus check and the place was packed. They clearly wasn’t desperate for the money.
I would not go there. Buyer beware!

Free battery test IF you take out your own battery and bring it inside to them. I wish I knew this before I went over there.

I've been going to this Pep Boys for over 10 years despite relocating my residence a couple of times. I've even referred family members. The work of the service team has been consistently reliable and honest. Under the new manager, Nicole Kenner, customer service is excellent! I brought my car in for struts (a very long job). As a courtesy, Ms. Kenner offered to have me transported home. I was picked up when the car was ready.

Amazing customer service. Tyrese at the service center was very helpfully, knowledgeable and professional. This was my first experience there and it definitely wouldn’t be last. The mechanic that worked on my BMW is skilled and very attentive to my concerns.

Brought my daughter's car in for an inspection the guy Eric was amazing but I noticed that the other department had extra have workers to help them out and he only had himself he was running back and forth looking for parts trying to do what he can do to help out this place needs that give him some help he handled it good but if he had someone else's help it would have been great he's a very funny guy loves to joke made my visit amazing that guy needs a raise

Went there to change my car tires. They broke my tire pressure sensor told me it can be fix by only toyota service center. Went to my service center they said its broke need to be change come back again to pep boys charge me $90 and dont even fix anything, sensor light keep pop up visit them 3 times no result. Waste of money bunch of lier work there

I always come here for service the staff is excellent and attentive. Tyrese Baxter was patient and very helpful. We found the part I needed quickly and the team got right to work. I was in and out.

Love this location! Edward the mechanic is very professional and works very hard to keep customers happy.

Came in for an oil change a few days ago and the service I received from Chris was amazing. I went to the dealership for my previous oil change and of course they put the wrong oil in my car. Chris was kind and patient enough to explain everything to me! He was very knowledgeable on cars as well and was not pushy like other places I've been too. Thank you Chris

Went into this location to have my car looked at. Nobody wanted to help me, the assistant service manager sean approached me and asked how can i help you. I told him what was going on and he got my car looked so fast and gave me a great deal. Everyone else at the desk was just standing there and didnt want to help me. Sean thanks for everything you will be seeing me more often. Just a word of advice get the rest of you associates on the same level of great customer service like you.

I walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile by the manager Nicole. She was extremely pleasant, professional, and prompt. I was in and out in a matter of minutes! Everything I needed she was able to have taken care of and answer every question. The employees were and have always been excellent. Absolutely love this store, anything you need they can handle!

Went in there and the shop was so busy, the assistant service manager Sean acknowledged me right away and i thought I was going to be there forever for an inspection and oil change. 25 minutes later Sean comes back and hands me my keys and says your all set. Man was I happy Sean you are the best assistant that every worked there. Also gave me 10 dollars off my oil change.

Came in for an oil change on a Saturday morning. The employee at the service desk was the epitome of excellent customer service. She was very professional and polite. She communicated how long the service would take and informed of any updates. I actually enjoyed bringing in the car for service.

I've had a lot of problems with Pep Boys. As a matter of fact I had to file complaints at least 2 different establishments: One that was at the corner of liberty and Merrick & 1 that was near Jamaica Avenue and Francis Lewis. In both instances, I either got my money back or had the service done at a discounted price. At this Pep Boys on Elmont I had no problems. I will continue to go back

My friends car was damaged due to a technician negligence putting the wrong wheels lugs it’s been now over a month dealing with calls back and forward still no solutions.

Honestly the best customer service I have ever had in any place of business. Nicole, the manager at this particular Pepboys was so helpful, professional and courteous it was a pleasure dealing with her. Without hesitation she came up with a solution for my problem, one that worked out great for me. Needless to say I’m very thankful for how everything turned out.

Great service and staff. Went for an oil change and an inspection. I was in and out in no time. Staff were very accommodating and kept me posted on the status of my vehicle. Will definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to get there car service needs met.

Pep Boys on Hempstead Turnpike is the best auto care for my car. The staff are very patient, courteous and knowledgeable. They are friendly and will assist you with all you ask about. They rate 5 stars with me for many years.
