Petco Animal Supplies, Yonkers NY

Today I had a staff help me, I just realized that it always looks like they don't have a lot of staff.her name is Amanda, thank you! The carts available were not working, she assisted with items i was carrying and explained to me the products. At check out she assisted with my petco points. I was grateful because I'm usually lost with some questions i may have.

Both Amanda and Israel went above and beyond in helping me improve the quality of my dog's life. Thank you!

The store could have better stock and be a bit faster on check out. However, the staff have been great. Particularly the young lady with the blue hair sorry I don’t remember the name. Helped me multiple times and when I told them my dog had a peanut allergy she suggested a alt with this dog cheese wiz for his Kong ball.

Calling or going online to book a grooming appointment is next to impossible at this establishment! They never answer the phone and it seems they never have appointments available online. You’d have a better chance getting in contact with the President!

Horrible experience! The groomer arrived 50 minutes late for the appointment. No one in the store knows when the groomer is going to come. Unfriendly & unhelpful staff.

The staff at the (Yonkers, NY) store was very poorly managed. I was waiting in a line of customers attempting to check out, which stretched half the distance of the store and there were no cashiers at the registers for several minutes. Instead, several of the store staff were socializing with each other, ignoring all the customers who were waiting to check out. Then, shortly after (2) cashiers finally showed up, one of the cashiers lashed out physically at another customer who was attempting to simply check out in a timely manner with (2) bags of dry dog food. The cashier aggressively and violently shoved the plexiglass barrier at the face of the customer. The other Petco staff had to physically restrain the cashier and force him into the back room, to prevent him from attacking the customer further. Hands down the worst store experience I have ever had. I will never return to this store.

Was made aware that Petco actually competes in price matching. Saved about 40% off of my purchase. Thank you Petco employees.

I went a little late i ask for a dog nail trimmer the young salesman reassured me tomorrow will be be freshly stock. All other items were at the "ready". I will return friendly staff

Last Friday my good friend took her pitbull whos around 2 or 3 years of age to the grooming department, when she went to pick him up, they said oh your dog has a loose tooth, she said impossible she had just taking him for a full physical that same day, the vet checked everything on the dog his teeth everything! Everything was perfect. The same day she went to petco to get him groomed, as it took almost 2.5 hours, that's when they told her about the tooth, no no no pets mart especially petco have bad reputations in the grooming department, they either punched the tooth loose or kicked it loose, that was my friends service dog, now he's even scared of his own shadow, he won't eat, and is very nervous and does number 1 and 2 on the floor, which he never did that before. My friend has become extremely nervous herself, because her service dog is not the same, she either needs a new one, I don't know. Try looking at reviews before grooming your dogs at those places, I know for sure they delete most of the bad ones for someone told me that it can be done. LATEST ON MY FRIENDS CASE I BELIEVE IT WAS CORPORATE WHO TOLD MY FRIEND IF SHE WANTED HER DOGS TOOTH FIXED BECAUSE HES IN ALOT OF PAIN. SHE MUST SIGN A AGREEMENT NOT TO TELL ANYONE WHAT HAPPENED! TO HIM THAT SOUNDS LIKE A THREAT! HER POOR DOG IS NOT THE SAME ANYMORE, WHEN YOU GO NEAR HIM HE WHIMPERS AND IS SCARED IF ANYONE GOES NEAR HIM, I STRONGLY BELIEVE THEY KICKED HIS FACE IN THE BACK TO KEEP HIM STILL, MY FRIEND ALSO REQUESTED FOR THEM TO PUT CAMARAS BACK THERE, THEY SAID NO! A WARNING TO THOSE THAT GO TO PETCO, PLEASE DONT GO THERE BELIEVE ME THEY TORTURE THOSE POOR DOGS, A FEW YEARS BACK I SAW A LADY SLAP A DOG THERE BECAUSE THE DOG WAS NERVOUS IN GETTING HIS HAIR CUT°° NOW TELL ME IS THIS ABUSE OR WHAT?

Went in there starting up our new 75 gallon fish tank and we were pleasantly surprised to meet Charles. He is super knowledgeable and gave us great advice. If you have any questions relating to fish— freshwater or saltwater Charles is the best!

Four stars instead of five for the rest of the store.

My dog looked super pretty and her face was nicely trimmed. And they were pretty accurate with the grooming session time. Thank you! This is my go to spot I recommend you to go also.

I went in looking for manager he never answered his page I went home called store to talk to him they left me on hold 8 minutes called back no answer I was giving them a second chance since my dog food that was supposed to be frozen was not good bye petco

I enjoy this Petco usually clean and friendly staff i got a silver dollar, a discus and a few neon color fishes from there over a year a go. They are still alive.

I visit several times a year for the dog salon.

Superb work. They know my dogs by name.

I do tip well but that is because they are great. Minimal wait time.

Parking is never a problem.

The store can be a bit pricey but that’s what you get with big box stores. There is a very wide selection of items.

The only staff member who truly shows pride in his job is Charles, who works in the fish/reptile area. All other employees seem to be just trying to make it through the day with little to no effort in assisting the customers.

Additionally, management is strongly lacking. It took me over 5 minutes to find an employee (there wasn't even one at the register) and more than 10 minutes for that employee to get someone to come and actually help me.

Simply put, this store's location has extemly poor management and even worse customer service. If it wasn't for Charles, if I could give it 0 stars, I would.

If zero stars were an option than I would’ve put that. Actually maybe negative a thousand. So these mother fu****s decided to cut my dog on her neck and now she has a huge bump. This is the second petco that did this sh** and I am fuc**** sick of it. Disgusting pieces of cr*p and I hope they all learn their lesson one day for hurting an innocent animal and not even saying a word. Fuc***g disgusting pieces of cr*p

Pathetic. Just one guy doing 100 things. Cashier, Manager, and as customer service taking calls. No help. Difficult to breath inside.

This Petco is above average - Charles, the fish department manager, is excellent. He's an experienced reef keeper himself and gives very good advice. He maintains a large number of system tanks as well as a stand alone frag tank. He gets interesting things in, axolotls, seahorses, etc. The rest if the selection is pretty standard.

I've been going to this location for years - a lot of these marine improvements are new. If you haven't been in a while, go check it out!

I went in for food for the and came home with a. The person at the fish section seem to be in a hurry and was not very helpful. The cashier on the other hand, was very friendly and helpful.

Best aquatics apartment out of any perco I go to. All tank are always clean and healthy and Charles is ALWAYS extremely knowledgeable about the fish. I have never had problem with any animal at this location really, as opposed to the 3 that are closer to my house where I usually always have to bring the dead fishes back.
