But they need to use the deodorizing liquid they sell for dogs or cats on their floors
It truly stinks in there

I love visiting the ferrets here.just wish the associates knew a little bit more about them so they could educate future pet parents.

On thanksgiving afternoon I had a very bad experience.   Two too young unqualified staff and one adult woman without any interest in the sale. The store shelves were half empty. I was misled to believe that all aquarium supply where 50% off on such day. Same for a cat tree. After 1 hour and my cart extremely full (around $600 of merchandise but expecting tp pay half)   at checking out aquarium staff where not discounted and cat tree was only 20%off despite flyers stated clearly the discount on cat tree and misleading on aquarium supplies but confirmed from one of the teen employee. On top of that, the in-store price where 30% higher than online petco.  What is the point of opening on thanksgiving if nothing is on sale.

I walked out without buying anything.

2 weeks prior I bought a 40gallon aquarium and registered my name at hartsdale store. In Yonkers my name did not come up on the computer.  

I thought you should know that you lost a valuable client.

Mistreated animals.kept in terrible conditions.nobody should support petco due to mistreatment to animals & not applying needed conditions to animals.

Petco is the worst Store ever employess are rude at the registers and especially the fish department the bald man is a rude helpless individual howcome he still is there. I REFUSE TO SHOP FOR MY FISH AND PET NEEDS. U KNOW WHO U ARE. A JOKE. FIRE HIM GET SOMONE NICE AND HELPFUL.

Could be a little more cleaner. Smells like urine throughput store. I also found the "grooming staff" to be a little ruff with the dogs today while grooming them.

Girls workers were very pleasant, males were very cold, to talk too! Big store, very clean, just the male employees were not up to par! Females thumbs up, NO DOUBTS! GIRLS DEFINITELY DESERVE A RAISE OR PROMOTION OR BOTH, MALES SHOULD GET SOME MANNERS TO TALK TO CUSTOMERS!

Good for dog food. Usually well stocked.horrible grooming experience.came back with an unevenly shaved wheaten terrier with bisson frise head

I love that store. I go there every end of each season. Great merchandise and great prices. The combination of amazing sales with the 30% off coupon and Kohl's cash back is priceless. I always and up paying only $20 for very good and expensive boots. Don't forget - always at the end of the season. Have fun.

I like the variety in this store and the animals seems in good health. They can improve their aquatic area, however.

Bought 3 baby guinea pigs from them. One girl two boys, but the girl end up being a boy (kept him anyway because my family and i fell in love with him) and the other two were sick. Brought one back asking them to take him to the vet because he had hair loss in two places. They asked if we want another one. I don't want another one so they gave us our money back and said they will take him to the vet and will call me when they take him. They never called me. I had to call them. Then I see that my other guinea pig eyes were discharging and was afraid it was an URI. So I called and they said they would make an appointment and that he would see the vet in 3 days. If it's an URI he should see a vet immediately. Anything can happen in 3 days. So I took it upon myself to take him to the vet and it's the same vet petco take their animals to and they said they saw my other guinea pig and that his wounds were probably due to being hurt by another animal or guinea pig. Also petco said I have to call in 10 days because he is on medication for 10 days and that I should get him back then. I want him back now. I can put the cream on him myself. Some of those people there don't care about the animals and I don't trust him staying there. Since i see how roughly he was handled. They are all young, practically babies. Back to my other guinea pig, the vet saw him and said it's not an URI but an eye infection and prescribed him eye drops. I am glad its not an URI. The receptionist there said petco should cover the bill since they sold him to us sick. (He didnt look sick till the next day) and I will consult that with them when I get my other guinea pig back. I don't want to deal with this petco again. When I get my other guinea pig back, I am done with them.

There's always been this bad feeling Petco gives me, like their employees dont care or lile the animals arent properly taken care of. I recently bought two leopard geckos from here, my first time buying from Petco also my first geckos. The guy helping me didnt even ask if I knew how to take care of them, he didn't ask if I had a proper setup, didnt ask if I've had them before, just handed them to me and assumed I knew what to do. Thankfully I did my research so my geckos are fine, but what if I was someone who was going to take them home and not take care of them or abuse them? Petco wouldnt care, as long as they get their money they couldn't care less what you do with the animals.
That's another thing about money, they have no problem selling you mealworms (lizard food) that are full of half dead worms and even a type of worm in it that doesn't even belong. As long as they get their money. Here's my geckos though, glad I got them out of there.

Upset I bought a guinea pig and didn't it died after 3 days exactly I was so upset this is beyond unbelievabl. I called and asked them since I'm a rewards member and the employee told me that if I didn't have my white copy of the the guinea pig purchases than my whole order is voided thankfully I found it called them right back everything was set for the next day. Next thing u kno my bf goes in there with the guinea pig and the employee at the register tells another employee hey u want a gineau pig as a joke bc mines had passed and her lil body was in the bag I honestly didn't appreciate this crap and way of handling such sentimental situation. Very unprofessional and rude and therefore I will never go back to this petco again

Way higher prices then it's competitor that I'd just a block away. Prices are marked up at least 10% more
