Seed + Mill reviews
18I couldn’t believe someone could turn tahin in delicious gelato, until I ran into Seed+Mill. It just makes my favorite treat now. Creamy, fresh, hearty. Vegan paradise
Extremely tasty! The seller is very nice and everything's vegan without compromising on the great taste
Delicious special black sesame soft serve, and halva. Service depends on who serves you, blonde woman today was very nice, the other not so
. We didn't know these products at all - but we were curious - the people at the stand were super nice and explained to us what they were and how they were produced - we also had a sample - after it tasted really good, we had to have one straight away Order an ice cream sundae - came by three more times during the NY week:)
I really, really love halvah, even prepackaged halvah from a little corner shop, so to find gorgeous handcrafted halvah in a mind boggling array of delicious creative flavors was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC, such a gem in Chelsea Market.
The girls working there let me sample a number of different choices, and wrapped my selections beautifully. Next time I’ll try some of the other tahini-based treats, but for now just reveling in the halvah amazingness.
I am definitely Seed+Mill lover or halva fanatic. You cannot go wrong with their creamy tahini that I use in my smoothies, on salads and sandwiches mixing with little olive oil or chili oil but my very favorite is the pistachio halva. The texture is just perfect - luscious, creamy and just right sweetness. I like to get mine from the Chelsea store but if I am not in the area I get it at whole foods.
Really enjoyed the vegan tahini soft serve. The crazy thing is that it almost seems richer without the dairy. Each bite just PACKED with flavor and texture. Not a regular kind of thing but definitely worth a try!
The best thing about Cheslea Market for me was finding this gem of a place. My version of taste heaven. I've had a lot of Halva in my time, it's my favourite traditional sweet of all time, esp with Greek/Turkish Coffee. The Halva I had from Seed + Mill was the best Halva I have ever tasted! I didn't even stop to buy & make the coffee. Once I opened the packet, that was it, Halva all gone. Delicious
Loved it! Tahini tasting cup was fantastic! The worker who may have been the owner, who let us taste test made the experience even more enjoyable!
I ordered a Sundae ($8) and a cone ($0.5) to pick up. The taste is unique but some people may find it too rich to like it.
$8 for a small cup of ice cream is very overpriced even in NYC. But what upset me the most was they didn't have the cone and failed to proactively communicate with me that they were unable to fulfill my order (I was standing right by the counter). When I reported this error to the cashier, he offered me a nickel ($0.05) as reimbursement. How ridiculous.
I bought the tahini ice cream with halva and it was incredible! Great taste and quality! I think that the halva was the best I ever had, I’ll definitely come back.
I can say it's the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. I love tahini halva anyway. There are many choices, I'm undecided, but the quality is really high.
For us Argentines who like mantecol, this place is unique. Super original. Options from the most classic to the rarest. Sweet and salty. Very friendly attention, excellent products. I don't know what they can lose
It was my first time trying vegan ice cream and it was great! Toppings go well with the ice cream, too.
It is the best vegan ice cream I have ever eaten anywhere.my life! Creamy and perfect sweetness.
The attention was very helpful and attentive. 100% recommended.
So tasty! What a great dessert place.
The sundae (tahini ice cream + halva bites) was so tasty. It's the best vegan dessert I have had for a very long time. Vegan treats tend to be dry. It's so creamy and rich, but not too sweet.
The person who served me today was so kind and generous.
I would definitely go back whenever I come back to NYC.
I had the vegan soft serve and it was great. I would highly recommend it - it’s a unique mix of ice cream, tahini and halva. On paper, it didn’t make sense to me, but the taste made perfect sense!
