Statcare Urgent & Walk-In Medical Care (Astoria), Queens NY

Was able to make an appointment for a Covid test and it was insanely easy. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Absolutely recommend.

Update: got a response someone would be contacting me. Some time has passed. No phone call. I'd go here in a pinch, but that's about it. How can you make people waiting for a Covid test wait outside in the cold for extended periods of time while the staff eats lunch? Show some professionalism and compassion for your patients. Don''t offer appointments when you're engaged in staff activities!

The staff was nice enough, but the operation is poorly run. I made an appointment and checked in on the website as directed. That system appears to be bogus. My appointment was at 2: 10 and I waited an incredibly long time while the staff had lunch. Staff lunches are fine by me, but maybe you should block out appointments during that time. I waited outside while a line formed. I expected a phone call the check in system said I would receive. Again, bogus. No phone call. A receptionist came outside to call people in. She immediately started bringing in people who came much later than I did. Apparently there is a side to wait on if you have an appointment, but there is no signage. I let them know I had an appointment and was allowed in. I checked in and was told to wait on line for the test, but was not told the line formed down the hall. I was there for about an hour. Actual test and check in process took less than 10 minutes. Lots of room for improvement on the operation side.

Making an appointment really easy fast results no waiting for too long in line. The girls are very helpful and they take care of you I would recommend this pave any day!

Very profesional and knowledgeable and friendly staff. I was taken care of, sharp at the time that I had my appointment for my 2nd dose vaccine.

This place is handled by.you just call for a very simple question and they say a call back in 20mins and I never get a call back and the lady or the man answer you he just speak as an answering machine I ve called at nine thirty am till now I didnot get an answer it 11amand I said I ve an appoiment at 11: 30am I neeed to know if I will pay for the visit or nottttttt what is this it’s an urgent care it supposed to waste me no time

Came here for covid-19 testing. Very prompt service and quick testing. I made an appointment through the website and waited no more than 5 minutes to be seen. Staff is great. Thank you for all your hard work!

They've always been quick and professional when I've gone. Make sure to fill out the info and make an appointment ahead of time. They do walk ins but there's often a small line.

Staffs are so nice and work fast to assist you. First time pt. I was a dollar short for my consultation fee so i was switching over to a different payment method. The MA refused because she was giving me the missing dollar. Good hearted people!

Very efficient staff they are very knowledgeable the staff is very helpfull and patient they go above and beyond to help you it was my first time for my Immigration physical it was a breeze the price was great compare to other places i would definitely revisit this urgent care site again 5 Stars all day every day keep up great work

We walked in and signup process was fast and easy. We were seen very soon. Entire staff especially Dr. Petrovani was super nice. Adding in extra tips in addition to the meds he prescribed. Love the energy!

I was just turned away from this urgent care center because I showed up at 7: 53 pm and they said they weren’t taking anymore patients even though they close at 8pm. I raced there from working all day with pain/discomfort and they refused to see me.

I went for an immigration physical in April 2018 and the staff completed the exam on a form which had been out of date since January and so the form was rejected by the USCIS. I have sought to get a response from Statcare since I found this out but they have not responded to my emails. Very disappointing and would definitely not recommend entrusting this facility with something so important.

Horrible experience, from the moment I walked in the receptionist had attitude and acted like she don’t even care about her job. I started telling her why I came, she interrupted me with question “Do you have insurance? !? !? ” Obviously didn’t care or listen what I was trying to say. Filled in the forms, waited for maybe 15 mins and went in. Nurse came in, did her job and then the “doctor” Lydia (or something like that) walked in with her student with the question “What is wrong? ” Not even “Hi, how are you, my name is this and that”, nothing! I told her my symptoms, she gave me this feeling like she was in a rush or just wanted to leave far away. Next thing she touched my abdomen 2 times and immediately went to say “I’m gonna prescribe some medicine”, because she is “the doctor”. Then I asked her how is she sure that I can take those medications, and she started to randomly guess “Well maybe it’s this or that, I don’t know, you don’t have insurance blabla”. I was so shocked at this point, I just wanted to leave and never came back, which I did.
They charged me $100 for basically nothing. I understand that health insurnance is a big deal in this country but that doesn’t mean I deserve treatment like this. Kindness and comforting have no price and I am so glad that I didn’t take any medicine she gave me, because another clinic in Astoria made me feel brand new.
I won’t be recommending this place for anyone and one thing is sure - I’ll stay away from this place

I'm an International student. I don't have a health insurance. I came from IOWA for summer break in NY, and these days I've been coughing and having chest pain. Do you guys provide free TB test?

The doctors were professional and walked out satisfied. Also, very clean and friendly and easy to deal with receptionist.
Also, timings are good. They keep open till 8 pm. Sat.till 5 pm.

Dealt with my flu cheaply, effectively, and quickly. Convenient location. Very satisfied. I'm glad I didn't make the hike to my Pcp.

This is my second time visiting Stat Care and as usual Great staff and great Dr & Assistant! Dr answered all my questions that I had regarding my illness. Very helpful and always understanding. Highly recommend this urgent care walk in. Thank you Dr & staff!

I highly recommend this place. The nurses and doctor are great. The doctor explain everything to me in great detail and I actually learn something new from it.

Always ready, always friendly. Excellent caer, never rushed and they take my insurance! A real plus to the neighborhood: they feel like your family doctor.
