Taiyaki NYC

Went here for the first time on Sunday and I loved it! There was no line and the ice cream came out quickly. We got the matcha and hojicha swirl topped with rainbow sprinkles and mochi in a Rilakkuma cone. It was adorable and tasted great. Stop by if you’re in Chinatown—it’s a great place to pick up some dessert.

Was very excited to try the Japanese pancakes, and was not disappointed! Note that they are only available on the weekends, and only until 2pm

Great ice cream. Customer service ok. I order three ice and received two. Instead of fixing the problem they told me to get to the back of line after already waiting a long line to re-order. So 1 star for the bad customer service I received.

Taiyaki nyc, didn't actually have taiyaki! Crazy. I asked but they said they weren't making them anymore. Had to get ice cream with the premade fish cone, it was ok. Get the kuma bear cone if you want cute insta pics. Otherwise go elsewhere for actual taiyaki.

One of the best icecream in NYC. Very nice presentation of the cone. Staff is super nice. I tried the match green tea unicorn in fish cone and chocolate vanilla in bear cone. Mochi Donuts are also top notch. Overall great experience.

Very good ice-cream texture. Employees were very nice & friendly. I tried their 'Famous matcha Japan ice-cream'. If you like matcha, you will love this ice cream, if you don't, then don't order it. Order another flavor. They have a variety of flavors to choose from. The cone was yummy!

Really cool concept with delicious ice cream. Cones not that big but can't really complain because the taste is that good!

Having an ice cream cone in the shape of a fish sounded too fun to pass up. I had the unicorn cone with vanilla flavor with sprinkles. The fish was a tasty waffle texture.

Souffle pancakes sold out. Sad. Instead tried the matcha flavor. It is cute with red bean taiyaki as cone. But waffle cone is the best for ice cream. 3.5 so 4 stars

Honestly I thought this place was going to be OK and all about the social media pictures. After tasting the icecream though I can honestly say this place is well worth the visit and isn't just for the cool Instagram pictures. The strawberry mango was amazingggg! A must visit! Icecream on a fish is $8 with 1 free syrup of your choosing and 2 free toppings of your choosing.

Came here with a relative. Definitely enjoyed the ice cream, it was super thick and beautiful. I tried the green tea flavour and I did not enjoy it but if you are into green tea, you'll love it because it tastes just like green tea! I loved the chocolate (Mr. Softy type flavouring) and mango (makes you feel like you're on a tropical yacht) with coconut flakes. It was amazing and I would come back. I sadly did not try the red bean cone but I did try the custard cone and it was so yummy (it tastes sort of like bread). I usually never eat the cones so this was crazy to me. I love the texture and how soft the cone was.

Mu Matcha ice cream is delicious! The only thing that the little fish is hot and since we are in summer it was a disaster Hahaha

First ordered, and they said it would be a 25 minute wait. No problem, ill wait outside.

Come back in 25 mins later, they havent started on my order, and it will now be an additional 30 minutes wait. No problem, ill browse the stores in the vicinity.

I come back 30 minutes later, and they told me that they gave my order away, and it will be another 15 minutes.

I literally followed their instructions to a T, and they screwed me over 3 times.

Then they lied to me and said they tried to find me.

Terrible experience, and this review probably wouldnt detract from their business, but i was not a happy customer.

Souffle pancakes were average. My two biggest problems with the pancakes were they didnt melt in your mouth and was too cakey and the whip cream they give you is basic in a can bottle. A thicker homemade cream to dip the pancakes in is what the great places give you and its a big difference.
