3 star hotel is s joke.one room with a small, small sink and that's it. One bed barely fits in a room and seriously that's it. You have to share the bathroom, a public bathroom with one shower for the whole floor of rooms, about 7-9 rooms. Each floor has two shared bathrooms but our floor, 3rd, had one of the bathrooms closed due to toilet problem. I don't know how this is a 3 star hotel and had good ratings, 4.2 star. What are people thinking? By the way, no elevators either. The bedsheet was not that clean, had spots. We slept with our clothes on and on top of the sheets. The manager was wonderful though.

Great property for what it is. I stayed in the room with no bathroom and that was OK with me to share a bathroom with shower. Some people may not want that. They do have rooms with a small bathroom and shower, but I can't comment on those rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. They also had bottled water, coffee, and a selection of teas for the guest. Price point and location are great. I would definitely stay the again on my next trip to Manhattan.

The best hotel we could have wished for. The room and bathrooms were clean and had all we needed. The staff were so sweet welcoming and helpful.
The location is central but on a quiet street, so no problems sleeping!
If we are coming back, we’ll definitely stay here again

Very good hotel. I chose the shared bathroom option and it was the best thing. Each floor has 2 bathrooms and they are always very clean, as well as being comfortable. The rooms, even though they are small, meet all demands very well, especially because this is the profile of NY. The Hotel offers all the services a customer needs, in addition to having a microwave, refrigerator, etc.at reception for anyone who needs them.

THE LOCATION is EXCELLENT. I did almost everything on foot or when the metro wasn't very close. Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Summit, Madison, Empire State, all within a 20-minute walk. Best possible choice.

I would definitely come back again.

Although the rooms are pretty small, the overall experience was impressive: clean, quiet and very nice staff.

This October, I stayed in this hotel, one of the best decisions I ever made, one of the very best locations in all of Manhattan, the owner and the staff were amazing. If your waste basket fills up before you check out, or if you need to get rid of recycling, then leave them right outside the door, they'd take them, and put a new bag on the basket for you. If you have too much recycling to put them in the hallway, then you could take them to the 'Madison Square Park' area, there are plenty of recycling collection bins in that area. That is where most of my recycling went. They have free water, tea, coffee, and a microwave. You can use their guest fridge. They have plastic utensils near the tea bags, if you need some. At 10 something pm they lock the doors, to get in their is a card scanner outside, enter the same way that you would the room. If you need an umbrella, and their guests umbrellas are all taken by guests then go to the CVS on 6th Ave, at West 25th St, and buy one there, these wont get bent out of shape, or blow inside out in the NYC winds. As long as you know what kind of room you are getting, you should be very pleased with a room at this hotel.

130,000 for a 3 night stay. It was a very convenient hotel for traveling as it was within a 5 minute walk from 23rd street St. It was also nice to have water service. There are Trejo, Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts nearby. Even though I was traveling alone, the staff were kind and friendly.

Room was small but just what I needed. The bathrooms are shared in the hall, but you have it to yourself when you use it.

The only thing that some people might have an issue with is the lack of an elevator. I was on the top floor and I could see that number of steps being an issue for some people…

Super tiny rooms but great vibes. Shared bathrooms were clean. The rooms were not the cleanest (hair on bed) and wouldn’t recommend for a business trip but great location and walkable to many great restaurants. If you like Korean food check out Mista Oh like 2 min walk from the place. Staff was super helpful and were able to hold my luggage after check out. Can’t beat the location - easy to get on the subway and super walkable. No elevator so that was a small inconvenience. It was also a bit noisy at night from the other guests (you can hear them walking and opening/closing doors to their rooms and bathroom). I noticed there were a lot of international travelers (I’m from the States) but that might just be because it was NYC. Overall, 3/5 for a business trip and 4/5 for a personal trip.

I had a great experience here. There not being an elevator is not a problem because it’s not many stairs to climb. I was worried before booking about the shared bathroom being an issue. I literally only had to wait for the bathroom once and it was just for a couple of minutes. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something simple, quick, and cheap.

Decent place to stay. We had to walk up to 4th floor with our luggage to a smallish room with a shared bathroom. It was all fine because the main reason for getting a room is to get a good night's sleep which we did on a very comfortable bed with nice sheets. Free water, coffee and tea we're available. Would consider staying here again.

A very good place to stay in New York.
The location is clearly the major asset of this hotel, located in the heart of the Flatiron district and all amenities (grocery stores, restaurants, shops, etc.) You will also find a metro station just around the corner serving the line 6 and a larger station serving several major routes only about ten minutes away on foot.
The reception is open 24 hours a day, the employees are very kind, polite and attentive: a young and dynamic team.
The hotel has 5 floors, although without an elevator, each floor has two shared bathrooms with toilets. These are of course subject to the cleanliness of your next-door neighbors throughout the day, but they are cleaned daily by a cleaning lady.
As for the rooms: the bedding is quality, you have air conditioning and a personal sink. No storage is available but there is enough space to leave your suitcase open without cluttering the room.
The walls are poorly soundproofed, you can hear the noise from the landing but also the noise from the street. This wasn't a problem for me but it might be for some people.
In addition, the rooms are very small which could have been a problem if I had not traveled alone.

I recommend this hotel to any traveler coming to New York. Even more so for all people, like me, traveling alone. As a woman I was a little apprehensive about this experience and more particularly the hotel in which I was going to stay, but I did not feel insecure for a single second!

I totally recommend staying in this hotel! WOW. Everything was so great. I was a solo traveler and had questions/doubts but this hotel made me feel safe and welcomed. Shantel you were great and so kind! I hope to see you again

Location and service were incredible, the staff is sooo kind, friendly and funny. Rooms and bathrooms are what you would hope for, if you're traveling on a budget, of course not really spacious, but clean and comfortable without a doubt!

Location was amazing and the room was of a decent size BUT
- it was very loud (even with earplugs)
- the mattress was cheap and not comfortable
- I had a pretty unpleasant experience: when I arrived, the floor of the bathroom was extremely greasy and slippery. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be annoying but when I walked barefoot on it during the night, I felt really grossed out so I very nicely asked them if they could have it cleaned up in the morning. The woman in charge.accused me of having made it dirty myself otherwise I would have said something earlier!? ! Cleaning mishaps can happen but being called a liar was really unpleasant even if they did have the floor cleaned afterwards.
In general, I felt like it would have been ok to pay $200-230 a night for my room (with private bathroom) given the location but I pais $330 and even for NYC it is much too expensive for what I got.

The only thing, like the entire city of New York, there is no parking, they will look for a way to have one or partner with one for clients at a lower rate would be great.but the rest is fine.thank you.

I stumbled across this place in my search for a hotel for a trip to NYC that I was planning, that was apparently during one of the most expensive times to go to NY (UN Gen Assembly, US Open, etc) and I'm so glad I came across it. The hotel is in a perfect location just steps from 5th and Broadway, Madison Square Park, several train stations, and a few blocks south of the Empire State Building. All in all it was about a 45 min walk in any direction to hit all parts of lower Manhattan. It was very clean, and all of the staff that I interacted with during our stay was fantastic. The ONLY downside was the size of the room, it was basically a cruise ship cabin. We were fortunate enough to secure a room with a private bathroom (some have shared) but even then the toilet was so close to the wall I had to use it sideways lol. But hey, it's NYC, I kind of expected that anyway, and we weren't planning on spending much time in the room to begin with. So overall I'd say it was perfect, and I'll definitely look to book here again on any future potential trips to the city!
