The Lexington Hotel, Autograph Collection reviews
27Good location. Comfortable rooms. Easy to walk to many attractions of New York. Staff were friendly. Would recommend
Stayed here in 2013, it was amazing! Very classy with a wonderful atmosphere! Staying here again in December of this year.
Update: Stayed here again in 2017. This hotel has a jazz theme that makes it magical in the heart of Manhattan. I would stay here every weekend if I could. A MUST visit!
Small rooms, typical of New York, but stylishly decorated and with lots of taste. Convenient location right next to some of Manhattan's trendiest spots, and just a short walk away from the centre of Midtown. Luxurious suites and a swanky bar on the ground floor. Good breakfast service.
We just arrived for our annual trip. It's me and four friends. We stay at The Lexington very February. The rates are great this time of year. The staff is awesome! They treat us like family. It's like our our NYC home. It's in a neighborhood with nice restaurants nearby and a great store for snacks and such. And there's a Starbucks in the lobby!
Test full place despite being busy. Comfortable rooms. Those with balcony are particularly pleasant.
Nice. Great location, great building. Some of the recent renovations were well designed, but poorly executed and maintained.
I had the worst sleep of my life due to noise I experienced.
I could hear (1) conversations from the next door, (2) water noise coming through old water pipe and (3) echo like sound through aged air-conditioned system.
The hotel didn’t deliver one of the most important thing; offering a quite room for good night sleep.
It could not sleep at all and I do not recommend to stay.
Great location on the east side of the city. The elevators here are insanely hot. Rooms are actually bigger than I would expect for the price. Renovated bathrooms are a nice plus. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is nice but the housekeepers do a sloppy job cleaning our rooms. A wet white cloth was left on our suite's table, ball of toilet paper was left in our toilet not by us was left unflushed and an eaten muffin located by the elevator was not disposed of from the day before
Good hotel clean. The bed was a little too hard caused my hips to hurry. Bathroom was quite small. They gave you coupons to get a free drink at the bar which was part of the destination fee. Except I don't drink alcohol so that was pretty useless to me
Very friendly hotel steeped with the history of past guests, rooms small and noisy if at the front of the hotel but in New York most rooms are small.
The Lexington hotel is located in midtown east in a quiet area. The rooms aren't large but comfortable. I would give a cleanliness score of 8/10. The lobby is nice and everyone is friendly. The continental breakfast was decent. You also get a drink and laundry credit included with $20 facility fee. I would stay there again.
Lack of restaurant facilities reduce the rating. Tea, coffee and bottled water available for free in reception, would have been better in the room.
The staff are wonderful here and almost make up for the small tired rooms. Almost. Make sure yours doesn't overlook Lexington Avenue if you want to sleep.
I waited for about 4 hours for my room. I was told my view would be great and worth the wait—— not so much. I was sandwich between buildings with a close view of an office building. Talk about no sunlight. I was highly annoyed. If this is what “status” and loyalty gets you then it’s not worth it. Sooooo many other choices in the area - but a colleague recommended The Lexington. On a more positive note, If I look past this inconvenience, the rooms are quite nice and quaint.
This is a pretty typical nyc 4*-ish hotel, although rooms are definitely on the smaller side. I'd give it a 5*, but they tried to stick is into a tiny disaster of a room with excellent trash can views at first. They ended up giving us a better room after I raised hell, but that's just no way to treat customers in my view. My wife and I are both new Yorkers, and we just wanted a nice impromptu staycation away from the kids, and they almost ruined it.
The Lexington is a Jewel in Midtown! Staff were helpful and charming. Hotel decor was a wonderful oasis in a great city! Location is perfect for walking to many of the cities famous places.
This was like an unexpected surprise! It was very reasonably priced with impeccable service! I definitely want to stay here again!
Alright. So I didn’t really mind how cramped everything is but for some reason the counter in the bathroom was tilted towards the toilet and you bet that worked out real well. I’m also pretty sure that Ms. Monroe didn’t wake up in the middle of night to some idiot blasting “SHIP ME OUT TO BAHSTON WAH OH OH” next door. Anyways, bad taste in my mouth.
Service was great, but interior was a bit surprisingly dilapidated for the price. Location can't be faulted, though, and staff was exceedingly friendly.
