The ER needs a serous upgrade. I’m giving Sinai 5 stars because my neurologist practices there and I get my infusions there. Both neurology and infusion center staff are caring, professional and understanding.

Good hospital. Care is good. We see patients from this hospital and they always have nice things to say about the staff. Especially the nurses and the dialysis technicians.

This is the fourth time in 6 months I have had to go to the ER twice for myself and the rest with friends. I have to say Mt Siani ER has improve greatly. I need to said thank you for your service THANK YOU! I also want to to said Thanks to Nurse Tash RN she is so delicate and patience plus well mannered. I have been lucky to get care from her one of the times I came and resently with my friend. She's a blessing to your facility.

The worst hospital ever. They left me alone in pain after my surgery. Had a terrible experience ever. Don’t recommend it to anyone. Now I’m in pain and I called many time to the dr and the nurse who did my surgery and they never got back to me. Don’t ever have surgery there. I got an infection after my surgery because they left me to get out of the hospital before my time. Bad, bad, bad hospital to be in

Mount Sinai hospital has always been known as one of the best hospitals in NYC. How ever the emergency department has gone down dramatically. My last time here before today I was having horrible chest pain and was waiting for over 5 hours. The nurses, Doctors and staff take their sweet time. Most talk about personal issues, all while knowing they’re sick people waiting to be attended to. The wait area is always packed. They’re never rooms available, they attend to patients based off what they feel is more serious. So if you’re having bad chest pains and someone comes after you with a headache, they will see them before you.

Today I made my way here after suffering two days with extreme neck, chest and back pain. I waited 20 mins to receive a EKG, and currently been waiting a whole hour just to see a nurse or doctor. Plans on how to speed the process should be planned ahead of time. It’s ridiculous that anyone should have to come to the emergency and die waiting to be seen. I never experience this at Lenox Hill. This will be my very last time here.

I advice if you’re in extreme pain or possibly dying avoid Mount Sinai Emergency department at all cost.

This hospital's staff (except for the nurses) are so incompetent and uncaring it is difficult to describe. I was supposed to go into intensive care after surgery but had to stay in the recovery room overnight because there was no room. Then there was no room in intensive care so I had to go to a regular room. My first meal after surgery was a plate of solidly frozen solid peas even though my doctor said I could start eating normally. I was told I had to walk each day after surgery and on the first day I vomited and was so weak I could hardly stand. Then the staff told me to walk by myself and if I felt sick to try to cut through the nurses station and throw up in my room so they wouldn't have to clean it up. I was threatened when I said I may need help moving from the gurney to the bed a few hours after 6 hours of abdominal surgery, and I could go on and on. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone
