United States Postal Service reviews
37Unless you are post guru and know how everything works you feel lost. Clerks are not very friendly and helpful.
When the same staff was at Peck Slip (before the branch was closed) they were professional, happy, and efficient. The John St.branch is cramped, difficult to navigate, and has made the simplest process extremely difficult. They have lost 4-5 priority letters delivered to me, and the line moves as fast as a crippled snail.
This place is the BEST! The staff is excellent! It's the selfish and rude customers that make a terrible experience for everyone else.
Incompetent, immediately combative service from a woman hoping to mask her failed life by abusing what little influence she has over mail sent by productive humans. This post office exemplifies why the USPS should be cut up and privatized.

YOU CERTAINLY DO NOT EVER WANT TO GO HERE. IT IS ABSOLUTELY LUDICROUS IN THIS POST OFFICE. THE STAFF IS SLOW AND UNPROFESSIONAL. YOU ARE IN THE FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NO ONE HAS TIME TO STAND AROUND AND TOIL WITH THE STAFF. GET IT TOGETHER, FAST. NOTHING BUT AGGRAVATION.
It's unfortunate that we tend to only write reviews when something goes wrongs. I have used many post offices in NYC and this by far is my favorite. The staff is always helpful, kind and warm. They don't mind answer my questions and it's always well kept (definitely not the case in many post offices). I'm there almost everyday and I'm glad that i'm fortunate to work by them.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Worst piece of garbage - completely rude and unhelpful and you can't ever get a call in even though they can call you somehow!? ! I tried calling them back after missing a call from them and haven't been able to reach them at all. Called every hour o n the hour.and then For 30 minutes straight on 3 different numbers. I will never use USPS ever again.
Wow, I can't ever remember a US post office where I didn't feel like a penned-up animal in a cage. This post office is radically different - an open, airy, clean space where you can make direct human eye contact with the staff who stand unbarricaded - literally. They are free and friendly civilians. No glass. No gates. A revolutionary concept by modern American standards.
Ever since this post office moved to this new location they have misplaced my packages or send them back to sender before it's time. I think the people are unsatisfied with their jobs. People you got a job be grateful. Now I got to go search for my package that they claim was delivered and it was not because I was not home.
The only post office I've ever been to where someone was there to ask if I need help. Despite long lines at a peak time I was in and out in a couple minutes.
This is an example of a Post office that should be closed. I'd pay not to have to visit this place. It's depressing and frustrating.
Rude, unhelpful staff - probably because the government administration is so poor the staff simply don't care.
I was literally yelled at because I was in the wrong line. Most disrespectful woman I've ever met.
Very nice post office. I like the location. The staff is very helpful and good customer service. The area is a busy location downtown close to Wall Street, government offices and several subway stations.
I have been going to this post office for years, and the staff has been consistently rude, unprofessional, and condescending. I fear asking any questions because their response is always aggressive and unclear. They assume that you are an expert on the postal system so god forbid you have a question for them. I would avoid this post office if possible.
Good people but Ian bad to serve them it was my fault I had visited this place in morning accepting good people help me good way but it was tottaly otheway round black lady help me really nice way, arguing with me like anything, asking me live premises without help, because she wants to talk on phone!
