Amazon Fulfillment Center CMH1 reviews
32Amazon tour was great. Got to learn a lot and see some of how they fulfill customer orders. Very cool experience!
As a Driver Contracted by Amazon to run long haul there are a few quarks when trying to complete a mandatory FMC DOT Vehicle Inspection. Amazon has a policy that "requires" you to get out of the gate in 20 minutes. Unfortunately there's a few people who've been given the wrong idea they're superior over the Driver's, and while training or a tier above another Amazon employee, will demand drivers move on out the gate before they can complete a safe hookup and Inspection, plus perform their requirements for their DOT OBC. Like one fool named Justin, who needs to be removed from his position, or taken out behind the woodshed and given a good attitude adjustment.
But Amazon doesn't care, nor know squat, about the driver or their requirements by Federal Motor Carrier Enforcement. They just want the load outside the gate - even if it's their screwups that cause any delays.
Great benefits, and the building itself is nice. But the organization of those in charge leave much to be desired. They have a tendency to overhire, they don't always make sure people are trained correctly to handle certain things. I still love shopping on amazon, I just wouldn't recommend them as permanent employers.
Great company as far as pay, benefits, and availability of different jobs. As long as you work hard and stay quite your job security is excellent. Extreme lack of management knowledge and experience. Plenty of opportunities for the younger individuals to advance upward but the information and techniques are mostly incorrect and/or ineffective. Seasoned veterans need not to apply.
The front desk representatives are so unprofessional and unfriendly furthermore they are mostly lies
Interesting tour to see the bring the scenes view of your Amazon orders! Only thing to note is that the tours actually start at the Main entrance, not the Recruiting entrance (they haven't updated their emails just yet)
Cars need to stop coming through the truck entrance/ exit! This is extremely annoying. Makes our job harder and the cars don't stop at the stop sign.
The most confortable workplace comparing with other warehouses but a lot of pressure have to get the limit rate.
As close as I have ever come to hell on earth. There is a good reason half the employees are drunk, high or on crazy pills.
We took a recent afternoon tour with Sarah. The experience was absolutely awesome! Her knowledge and insight into the operations, as well as the reasons behind different policies and procedures only added to my amazement. What an organization! What a science they have created with regard to product, service and people. Highly recommend this tour.
Once again a massive massive warehouse, distribution ctr. A very impressive place to see if you could. But its not open to public.
Amazon on Etna.
Before you make a judgment on this employer, make sure to thoroughly study their Glassdoor profile. While companies can’t remove comments that reviewers make, they have the chance to respond. So they can indicate changes they’ve made, speak to issues they’ve addressed or discuss leadership changes that may have ushered in a new era
I love the job great pay benefits 401k full time stock options. I see a lot of posts about waiting for orientation they don't hire during or right before peak or right before prime day and they redid all onboarding processes.
They are direct hire and starts with the benefits from the door when you get hired! More benefits when you get to your first year anniversary. Been working there for more than a year and I'm not planning to quit. It takes time to adjust to the fast paste environment and when you get it, it's manageable to work there.
Very slow checking in and out. They are seeing you waiting. But, they want to seat. They not coming to you right a way. I don't know why. Very busy location. Other than people inside the building they are nice and Helpful.
It's so amazing warehouse, latest technology and so many opportunities like high paying job and a lot of benefits like health insurance, education.
Went out there for part time job Amazon said I qualified for when I arrived they said to bad it's a full time job not really professional
On paper it looks like they hire a lot of people but they never start them. 3 months waiting on orientation is just too long. They heard people in probably never even looked at my resume that I had just distribution warehouse experience. I heard they like a lot of people off after their busy season.
The App says this Place- CMH1 Is "Permanently Closed"! I was here 5 months ago. Going here Now to Pick-Up a Loaded 53ft Trailer! I Wonder- if This Place is "GHOASTED". Can I Keep the Load of Kool Electronic Stuff?
