Applebee's Grill + Bar, Xenia OH

We went in last night, got seated and after we waited 20 minutes for someone to get our drink order or even acknowledge that we were there, we just left. Worst service we have ever received.
***WOULD NOT RECOMMEND***

Kevin deserves a raise. He made our experience so much fun. He was so nice and friendly. He also had one of the best attitudes I’ve ever seen.

Our waiter, Isaiah was totally AWESOME. He was very accommodating with us (we talked and took our time ordering)! We were not rushed at all. Our food was very good and we will be back!

I understand most of the restaurants are short on staff but short to don’t clean and wash the plates and glass. Literally it looks old the plastic glass and the service is really bad…

The manager on duty was polite and helpfully. We will definitely be visiting again due to the outstanding manager Scott!

Steaks were over cooked and under seasoned. Honestly one of the worst steaks I've had. I live only 5 minutes from the restaurant food was cold when I got it home, despite being there early to pick it up. Was not very happy.

Food was completely wrong I had to drive back out. My food was cold and disgusting because it had sat for 45 min. I am extremely upset with your Service and you food. And nothing was done to compensate for such a horrible experience! 50$ done the drain. Smh.

We were there last Sunday the service was excellent for the life of me I cannot remember our server but he was awesome very polite and on the ball the food was excellent all three of us got different meals and all three were very good The next time we come back and we will I hope we get the same server we had great job Applebee's

Applebee's has become our go to no matter where we are. The food is always good, service is amazing and the restaurants are always clean. It doesn't matter what state or town you are in this is a must if you get hungry even with a crew.

I'm sorry normally I love Applebee's but this experience was absolutely terrible, my chicken was burnt the shrimp was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were runny, and into of the bad food was a waiter who couldn't understand me when I tried to order a drink and he would break down the table as I'm eating. He didn't seem to understand what a refill was unless Applebee's doesn't do that anymore and the manager acted as if I was lying about the chicken. I took only one bite of the chicken and sent it back. Everything else my family ordered seemed to be fine maybe the chicken and shrimp was cooked from frozen or something I don't know the ribs were good and the steak was cooked properly. In my opinion just don't order the bourbon street chicken and shrimp.

Very good food. Waiter was very friendly and checked on us several times. We did have to wait for one plate of shrimp because they forgot to bring it out

The food and service is always good here. We usually order all appetizers of boneless wings, chicken wonton tacos and pretzel sticks with beer cheese. This is plenty of food for 2 people. The food did take a while to get to our table - about 20 to 25 minutes for just appetizers, so that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It was hot and fresh though. The fried wonton chicken tacos are a good mix of sweet and sour and are my favorite. I sometimes get the perfect margarita. It's probably the best margarita I've had from anywhere. Will visit again soon.

Friday night, October 1st. Parking lot looked busy and we expected a wait but we didn't care since we like this location most of the time. However, we walk in, first in line and stand there for 8 minutes, while another customer flagged someone down, which I think was the manager, and told them they had a party of 20, as a whole bus load of people walk in the door. They were dealing with that all while we stood there and waited patiently. I tried to get someone's attention and we were just ignored. Nobody was taking the role of receptionist. It took them about 10 minutes to seat the large party, we watched several other would-be customers walk in, stand around, and then leave in frustration. Several tables were dirty and stayed that way for the duration we were in there, never cleaned. The manager finally got to us and told us there would be a 15 minute wait but we had already been standing there for 15 minutes as we observed several still dirty tables scattered around the restaurant. Several people kept coming out of the kitchen, looking at people waiting, and then disappearing again. The manager (or whoever the older lady with the colored hair is) was not tending to customers waiting to be seated and was having conversations with other staff and customers as unseated guests left in frustration. After being told there would be a wait after waiting already we decided to leave. It didn't look like a short staff issue, it looked like a poor management situation and nobody really caring about the customers. Really disappointing and may be awhile before we give it another try.

We go to this applebees every now and then and they usually do a pretty good job. The shining point of this visit was our server Kevin D. He let us know at the start that he was new and to bear with him if there are any issues. There were absolutely no problems, he was nice, welcoming, and attentive. He returned quickly with any requests and should keep up the great work!

Someone might wanna tell whoever is seating that a lady 9mo pregnant might not be so happy when u try and sit her in a booth! Just saying! I was so about to cry!

I’m sorry but this was the worst experience we’ve ever had here. It was my birthday dinner too which was very disappointing. We waited almost an hour for our food with 1 drink refill from a different waiter and my fries were not done. Husbands chicken was cold. All the stafff were on their phones and sitting around gossiping and then it took awhile to get our bill. Everyone around us waited and complained and one man even sat himself. We will NEVER go back.

Great food and friendly atmosphere. The owner takes pride in his restaurant; speaking personally to customers to ensure they are completely satisfied with their food and service.

My wife hyped their burgers WAY TOO MUCH! She finally got me to agree to try one and I have NO idea what all her hype was about, more trouble than it was worth. First, what exactly does plain mean? It doesn't mean go ahead and toss some lettuce on. Second, I can't say I have ever seen a bun soak in so much grease. I don't know if they ran the bun across the grill, maybe dipped it in the fryer for good measure, then place lettuce on it, maybe they won't notice. Fairly certain I'm not supposed to have to toast a bun I already have at the house so I can eat. Then there were the fries. I think my bun spent more time in the fryer than the fries did. We ordered takeout, not a do it yourself meal which you better have an air fryer in order to get some sort of enjoyment from your over priced food. Better off with McDonald's, at least there you go into the order KNOWING it WILL be messed up and it's McDonald's and cost $1, eat and enjoy knowing you still have the other $30 in the bank it would have cost to get the same slop from Applebee's.

Got wings at 930 and had no sauce like what even it was supposed to be honey bbq but it just made me sad) : 50 bucks on my order would have expected a little more

Very disappointed and surprised because in the past service and food have been great. They said the food would be ready at a certain time, and a little delay is okay but I ended up waiting 30 minutes after the expected time.
Also didn't get curbside service and had to go in to get the food. At this point I said this is fine but there will be no tip. I am very big on tipping thanks to my daughter who was a server at one time. She expressed to me how important it is to tip. On top of all of this, their card machine was down and they did not inform me of this until I went to pay instead of when I called to order OR when I called to say I had arrived at the pickup location 30 minutes prior. For once I didn't have cash on me so I had to run to the bank after, which I could have done while I was waiting. The steak and potatoes weren't bad but the broccoli was mushy and the fries were soggy. I will no longer be frequenting this Applebee's because of their actions tonight.
