When I try to convince a business to reconsider their policies and practices and I am met with opposition, I call in the BBB to level the playing field. As a business owner I realize how influential the BBB reviews are.

I clicked on an advertisement online. I wanted to look at the product they were CDB gummy bears for sale. The product stated it would be $30 for a bottle I thought I would give it a try. I clicked on the byproduct and then a bunch of advertisements came up for other things which I declined. After going through the products and coming to the end receipt I paid the $30. Then my receipt came back and it was $152. I then contacted customer support and was told that the money has already been taken out of my account. If I didn’t like the product I could send it back for a refund. I told him that I did not want to pay that much money for five bottles of the product I just wanted the one. The gentleman told me too bad when you get the product if you don’t like it send it back in five or six weeks.
The next day I went online to the Better Business Bureau and filled out a report because I wanted other people to find out about it. The next day I received a call from Tammy B From the Better Business Bureau she wanted a little more information about the company I advised her that I had located the name of the company and the phone number she stated she would see what you could do.
To my surprise the next day I received the email from customer service of the company. The email stated you could have 75% off and just send the The rest of Back.
I returned the email stating that I did not want the product I wanted a full refund and nothing to do with that company anymore. To my surprise I was also signed up for annual shipment of the product.
Thanks for the efforts of Tammy B The next day the entire refund of the $150 was in my account.
Without the help of the Better Business Bureau I don’t think I’ve ever would’ve received any amount of the money back and would’ve been signed up for a yearly delivery of the product.
This is the first time I’ve use the Better Business Bureau and learned a lesson it pays.

The Better Business Bureau Always There for Me. Their website is very easy to research and see how businesses are doing by reading the reviews or complaints whether the business is BBB Accredited or not. You see how the business is performing to their customer satisfaction and then decide if you feel confident with them.
My latest experience was to research the company I was having issues with. Read others' complaint and decided that I need to file a complaint as well. The process was easy and fast. That companies representative contacted me within a couple of days and started their process to address my complaint. Within two weeks my issue was resolved. I'm glad I used the BBB to help me get this problem fixed. They provide a great service to the consumer as well as the community in which they support.

I'm not sure if the BBB did anything at all to help with my dispute. I'll never use them again because they never contacted me until I solved the problem directly with my credit card company.

I had a issue with a company located in Cincinnati, OH. I contacted the BBB about the concern. They were very helpful and immediately started an investigation. This resulted in a full refund in a matter of a few days from the company in question. Thank you so much for your help and fast response.

I was satisfied with my decision. The only thing I wasn't happy with is everdry. They told me I had to call them on a certain time. I told them I had to work at that time and they told me they didn't care. They told me I had to call them when they told me because their time was more important then my time. So I had to get permission from my boss to call them when I was still working. I didn't like doing that. I didn't think it was fair to me.

Useless. Couldn't get ahold of the contractor so they closed the case. I provided documentation pictures of problems as proof. Definitely pro provider and not for the consumer. If a contractor is not responding it's probably because they know they did something wrong. Don't close the case just because they won't return a call or email instead make it a negative mark.

In submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (T Beck) against Independence Lumber & supply Co. ID- 13040618, I did receive a response from a board member (Jeremy Deters) once, but matter has not been resolved. I do appreciate the quick response and follow-up from T. Beck of the BBB.

Awful. Automated everything and zero regard for consumers. Didn't investigate my experience with a contractor and is allowing him to continue to steal from others, perform work that going to be done professionally and cause a lot of damage.

I received no satisfaction by submitting my complaint to this specific BBB! I understand why homeowners do not bother giving honest reviews because it does no good if they receive the same kind of treatment as I did. To allow businesses to continue doing faulty work and bad workmanship such as we experienced is so wrong! I regret reaching out to this particular BBB!

I think it's worthwhile submitting complaints with the BBB, but they don't do anything other than contact the business, have both sides say their piece, and then close the file. No teeth or requirement for them to follow it through if the business just denies or ignores claim.

BBB was absolutely no help to me because they didn't get a response from the contractor I complained about. I feel there was absolutely no effort made by the BBB.

Horrible experience! Asked me for all this paperwork. I put alot of work and effort into my claim and they turned it down due to the age of my car. HELLO YOU KNEW THE AGE OF MY CAR BEFORE I SENT ALL OF MY STUFF!

I disconnected my service with Cincinnati Bell and was told I still had to pay for a full month of service. I asked for a pro rated bill as I wanted to be fair. They refused and threatened to turn me over to a collection agency. I worked with the Better Business Bureau and was able to get a pro rated bill. Thank you.

Really would like if there was a way that the Better Business Bureau could put more pressure on a company that is obviously not on the up-and-up and not being honest and not doing good work and taking advantage of people to get them to do the right thing and not let them to continue to take advantage of people

Superb assistance, I reached to ask for aid in a case with Kroger supervisor and they helped me to get in touch with the mgr, after one month of no calls from Kroger. NO FLUFF here, they were acting as intermediaries, delivered assistance via the web, and communicated what needs to happen clearly and concisely. Thank you so.

My issue was based on a difference between myself and the vendor. Using BBB helped us both review the issue and come up with an amicable solution for both parties.

This is the second time I used this source to fight a problem with a business. You need to take the initial steps to try to resolve the issue on your own. After that you need to file a complaint with the corporate office of that business. If that fails and you have a legitimate case, then you go on line at BBB and follow the simple and easy way to try to settle your issues. I just settled my second case and I’m very pleased how this bureau makes it happen. Thanks so much to a fine group
