6+ hours of wait time, lied about wait time, horrible staff that could not give me an estimated time which was not helpful at all! All of this just for an x ray which was only supposed to take half an hour, brought her out on a leash that was squeezing her neck, and lastly couldn’t even provide me with pictures of the x-ray i paid $300 for? Worst overall experience ever.do not recommend at all.

By the time I had to bring Izzie to the Care Center she was in bad shape and I was in a very emotional state. I was so impressed with everyone on the team. The communication was proactive, honest and everyone I spoke with was willing to answer all of my questions and provide me with advice. Luckily, everything with Izzie improved and we were able to take her home. Even after taking her home, I'm was impressed with the proactive follow up from the team, including the surgeon who operated on Izzie. It meant a lot that she called me herself. I also had many questions over the following week about things I noticed and medication, and every time I called the team was able to quickly and accurately answer all my questions. I can not imagine a better experience, especially for such an emotional time. I was so impressed by Dr. Raghu. The way she communicated with me and really seemed to care about me and Izzie just blew me away. I am so so blessed that she was there to treat my Izzie.

I would give no stars if allowed. They completely missed my dog slipping 3 discs in her spin and being is serious pain. Told me that her pain was gas and
Constipation. The X-rays they took clearly showed what was wrong with her and took her vet no time to see what her problem was. This place is a joke and needs to refund me my money since they did absolutely nothing for my dog!

Beware. There are many more options for emergency care and specialties in Cincinnati. I'd give Care Center negative stars if I could. They caused my family so much suffering by neglecting our pet for more than 8 hrs. After our pets horrible death their treatment of us was deplorable. Staff lacked any compassion - from doctors to techs. Front desk was beyond unprofessional. I can't even make myself speak of our pets suffering. I just want to post that there are other options and my pet may not have suffered had I not trusted them from prior good experiences - many years ago. Perhaps things have changed after WCPO did the story on their financial practices of prioritizing "estimates" over actual emergency care. I just know my family is still traumatized by the horrible way our pet was neglected. And the amount of money we paid for inferior care which bordered on abuse. I do hope our pets death was not in vain. And perhaps they've had a reckoning - I hope so. But I'd never trust them again.

I visited Care Center Cincinnati on 2/2/2021. The family pet was not doing well. They immediately came out to our car and took him in. It was maybe 30 minutes and the vet called to tell me that he had IVDD. I had a couple options. Surgery or euthanize. The vet did not pressure me one way or the other. She understood that a lot of people cannot afford a $6,000-$8,000 surgery. She let me know that I could call my family members and discuss it. I ultimately chose to euthanize him. It was probably one of the toughest decisions that I have had to make. When I came back with my family, the staff led us to a private room where we could spend as much time as we needed with him. Each staff member that we interacted with, had such compassion and understanding. They offered a lot of information to us at the visit and gave us at least 5 days to decide on arrangements. I would defiantly take my other dog here in the future if needed.

I waited awhile to write this review to see how my little dog Sammy would do after his surgery he had to have on his spine, then naturally, like most people I forgot to hop on and post the review until this morning when I realized just how agile he is thanks to Dr. Montes and the team at the Care Center. While emergency care is something you are not quick to want to pay for, you also don't want to see your pet go through any suffering. The entire team was transparent in the cost of treatment, what exactly would need to be done, and what the rehabilitation would look like. Initially, they thought he would never run or walk again.but after surgery and rehab he does both (although we tend to discourage that these days). In my experience, a team that underpromises and overdelivers is the best possible type of team to work with and that is exactly what you can expect from Cincinnati Care Center. After seeing the miracle they performed with Sammy I would come back here for anything outside the scope of his normal vet in the future. Even after his 2nd of 6 appointments at rehab they told me that he was well enough that I wouldn't need to continue paying to come back if I didn't want to, talk about putting your customer first!

When our dog was having really severe breathing problems late on a sunday, they took incredible care of him and us. The staff is very compassionate, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. They were very clear with us about what was happening, what our options were, and about costs. I can't say enough about, or thank the team enough for the great treatment we received.

Very nice and professional! Showed a lot of compassion and Seemed to genuinely care about my pet. Once I brought my cat In at 2am they rushed to her and immediately started taking her in the back to evaluate her. They treat your animal like it’s their own, couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I do NOT like how you have to sit in the waiting room while you dog is being seen! Then after the Vet sees your dog they send a ASSISTANT to talk to you, so you NEVER get to be with your pet to calm them down. I was worried to death the whole time. I will NEVER EVER come here again.

Dr Sharmila Ruparel gave me hope when I had none. If you have an emergency, this is the place to go. She didn't give up even when I was ready to. I'm very thankful for her.

I had to put my dog down last night. Dr Lavigne was extremely compassionate. I was touched that she cried even though she never met my dog before. I appreciate the kindness from her and the rest of the staff and for handling the emergency quickly so she did not suffer.
Update. I got a sympathy card in the mail with ink prints of my dogs paws. Extremely thoughtful. Thank you so much for the wonderful keepsake.

I definitely recommend Care Center for all veterinary needs. They are so compassionate towards the animal and their owner. They take their time in explaining things and are very thorough about all the details in treatment. Plus, they have state of the art equipment and are well recognized and accredited by numerous veterinary organizations.

Thank you SO much to the team at CARE Center. The way you care for our pets (okay, family members, who am I kidding?), is phenomenal. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to entrust with Sophie’s care. We have full confidence that Sophie will benefit from her SRS treatments and have all of you to thank. We will recommend your team to anyone who comes across the unfortunate diagnosis of pet cancer. We drove five hours and spent a week in rainy Cincinnati all because we knew CARE Center was our best bet at getting some extra time with our girl, however we didn’t expect the level of care she (and us) would receive. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! (Sophie says thank you too, I’m sure of it!)

The staff is super friendly, but we waited a really long time, which is understandable, kind of. We paid a LOT of money to be sent to a suggested vet who didn't specialize in the animal we brought in to be seen by them. We had to find a different vet all together. So morale of the story, only go to these people if there are no other options.

This place is a joke! We took our Pomeranian there for a broken leg. We was there for about 5 hours waiting with no updates at all. Finally after sitting there for hours they informed us he did have a broken leg, they offered to put a splint on him or do surgery. They wanted to charge us $4,700.00 for surgery! So we decided to go with the splint. We was still out $565.00! Took him to his vet the next day. They offered to do an actual cast for 500 or surgery for 1,400.00! So glad I declined surgery and took him to his vet the next day! Just hate that he needed medical care on new years day when every vet was closed! He will be having his surgery today at seven hills pet clinic for 1,400 vs 4,700 from care center! If you can keep from going to this place you will save yourself ALOT OF MONEY AND TIME! Oh And I forgot to mention. The 565 bucks they charged was pointless because it didn't even correct his leg at all. They couldn't even line his leg up with the splint. So it was a waste other than sending him home with pain meds to hold him over till the next day. Never again!

After two frustrating attempts to fill out the survey form online I have given up. Both times after filling out almost the entire portion it sent me back to the beginning.
FYI: I gave excellent grades for everything including Dr. Maitland and the technicians
I can't think of any area where the care and service was lacking

I called prior to bringing my kitten in. The receptionist told me they would have to see the kitten before giving any advice (extremely uninterested). Brought him in, they took him back and it took forever before the vet came back with any updates (I was the only one in the waiting room). He basically tells me it could be an array of different things that he has no idea. One specifically brain swelling. They wanted to keep him for two nights for 3-4K. In the mean times 2.5-3 hours have passed. They come back and tell me that all they are going to do is give him a hydration drip. They only gave him that for 15 minutes.so they showed me the bill and there was X rays (which the doctor said he didn’t need). So I ask for a copy of them and the nurse acted like it was a chore (it took them 20 minutes to bring them back as well). Sent me home with antibiotics, so I asked if he should have prednisone for potential brain swelling and he then said the kitten was too small for that kind of medicine.
It cost me $480 to get no help from them whatsoever.

Took him to my regular vet in the morning and he administered the prednisone.

Moral of the story: they care more about what you’re paying out of your pocket than the welfare and care of your precious fur babies.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This place treated my dying dog so badly. And then charged me a ridiculous amount of money. When I left my dog there for the night, he was bleeding from his ankle and I asked that they bandage him up. When I picked him up the next morning, they still hadn’t bandaged him up. Plus the nurse checking me out the night before seemed very annoyed and bothered to help me. I plan to call and complain. My dog died the next day and it breaks my heart to think he spent his last night with rude people who didn’t take care of him. I paid over $1000 for them to keep my dog overnight and care for him and they couldn’t be bothered to bandage his leg up. Cold hearted.

The Care Center has helped us not once, but twice, tend to the old age/quality of life euthanasia moment for two generations of kitties in our household. Both instances had the pets decline rapidly in off hours, and in both cases the Care Center staff, from reception to technician to doctor, treated us with dignity, respect and compassion during an otherwise tumultuous time fraught with emotion. If we lived closer we'd make the Care Center our primary care, but for now we cannot recommend them enough for emergency care. Thank you Care Center.
