Tex-Mex Restaurant Chuy's reviews
29I ordered through door dash. The food was great and worth the cost, portions are big. My delivery arrived a few minutes early. The beef soft tacos have pieces of steak and the cold ingredients were separated and I had to put them in it, so it didn't get soggy. There were complimentary nachos but the sauce is a bit spicy for me. I am a wimp though lol. I will definitely order from here again!
Frozen strawberry margarita. Fantastic! I also had nachos. Everything was great and the servers were very attentive. I will come back as much as I can.
Excellent margaritas. They serve chips and salsa along with a fancy in house style ranch that has a kick for free. It’s a fun upbeat establishment. Recommend coming in for a few drinks and some salsa.
The food is decent but the customer service is kind of hit and miss. Sometimes its great other times its not. We waited 45 min for our food once about 2 weeks ago and tonight about 10-15 min for a server to come get our drink order after being seated. Then times previously customer service has been great.
We eat here regularly. Food is great and always fresh. Service is spot on and wait staff is very friendly. That's probably why it's always so busy!
Solid Mexican food. The chips and salsa were excellent. I highly recommend the place, you won't be disappointed.
Great service, attentive waiters and waitress's, drinks actually have alcohol, you pay for what you get!
It's okay for chain Mexican food. You won't get anything authentic really. They do have a nacho bar which is good. All of their beer is in bottles, no tap. Service was good though. We had a large group and they took care of us in a timely and professional manner. I would go back.
Chuy sets the gold standard for innovative Tex-Mex. Try the Elvis Chicken.go ahead; dare ya! Terrific, well- trained staff too. All makes this ole San Antonio boy feel right fine, er.that is, raht fahn!
Cheap Mexican food spot. This was my first time here and the service was so so. The food was good. The restaurant was busy and my waiter couldn't keep up. I am going to give them another opportunity.
Food was good. Outdoor seating was nice with shaded spots and outdoor fans. Food took a while to get to us and they almost forgot our cheese dip
I got the Sunday special, the macho burrito and it was excellent. Service was super friendly too.
Awesome place for Mexican food! Love their happy hour prices and free chips, salsa, ground beef and queso.
Great family dinner out. Chuy's was my favorite place to eat when I lived in Austin. So glad to see Chuy's has stayed true to it's Austin Texas original roots
Best Tex-Mex north of the Mason-Dixon line. Chips are thin, crisp and not over-salted. Love their bar area happy hour with a great assortment of dips, etc, all out of the rear boot of a classic American automobile.
Amazing margaritas made with fresh fruit. Nacho bar during happy hour is a great deal. Bring a pic of your pup for a free appetizer! Food is just ok
Don't waste your money terrible food and service. The homemade tortillas taste just like pure flour. I asked for my money back didn't even finish the food it was that bad.
Good service but was disappointed in the lack of entrees on Sunday evening. Apparently whomever does the inventory for the week underestimated a variety of side dishes. The food was great.but will most likely not be coming back.especially on a Sunday.
Very mediocre tex-mex, staff on the bar side were not friendly. The chips are probably the best thing about the place.
Food is always hot and tastes great. The waiters and waitresses have always been super nice and accommodating.
*Specific Recommendations*: Nachos, Tacos, the Creamy Jalapeno dip/sauce (not super spicy, for the sensitive folk out there) with the Tortilla Chips and also, the Tres Leches Cake!
