Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal reviews
30Took my 9 year old granddaughter today and she was bored after 2 hours. Right now it is geared for young children who would enjoy the Children's museum. I hope more displays come to make it interesting for older children.
Absolutely loved it! Get there early! It gets busy in the afternoon on a Saturday! I haven't been since I was kid. Now, I got to go back with my 1 year old daughter! We'll be back and I'm thinking of getting the membership!
This place is great! The architecture of the old train station is mesmerizing. One of the best examples of Art Deco on a large scale. The place definitely makes you feel small as you walk through it. The IMAX theatre has been renovated and it’s very immersive. You pay per exhibit and per show but if you become a member you get discounts on most of everything they sell and free parking. If I was going to criticize them on anything we got snacks before the IMAX and they were on the expensive side but to my surprise and delight they do serve local micro brew beers. Over all I think the place is a treasure for the public and everyone should visit.
I feel bad giving just 2 stars but there are hardly anything exhibits open. No discount or extensions available if you were to buy a membership today.
I've always loved this place, the Omnimax is by far my favorite. But what in the hell happened to the museum shop? ! Every other improvement made here is great, except for the museum shop, they got rid of all the books, everything else worth while. It's all kid stuff now.
DONT GO WHILE THEYRE REMODELING! I just went today and the place was packed. I stood in line, got my tickets, and headed to the museums only to find that the majority of the museum is closed. You can see everything they have to offer in 15 minutes. That’s nearly a dollar a minute if you got the $14.50 tickets. It was a total waste of time and money. Not to mention that all but one of the gift shops are closed and the new one is much worse than the old one. Horrible experience. I might never go back
This is a great place for families with kids, or kids if all ages. Plenty to do, see, and interactive activities as well.
Its a terrible day to be here. 45 mins waiting in the membership line and we've moved 30 ft. Never come here again!
Went there today and decided to buy a drink at the little stand outside the kids museum. I chose a Bubbly canned drink advertised as $2.99 but it was rung up as $3.59. I asked how much the tax was and why it was ringing up at a different price. The girl got snooty with me and said that's the price in their system. I told her she needs to take the $2.99 sticker off their fridge then.
Beautiful museum, but it's the little things that put a bad taste in your mouth, and that poor example of customer service was one of them.
Awesome place to go. I realize that if it is raining and you are desperate to go out, this is the right place. Lots of ground to walk along with rich history of Cincinnati to go through. If you have children, it's even better to go as they have lots of stuff to do and play with.
