Comfort Inn Downtown reviews
39They changed my room three times because there was different things wrong in every room, the first room the TV and the phone didn't work the second room the refrigerator did not work and was warm and it smelled funny the third room did not have a freezer section in the refrigerator and that was mainly what I needed! They said that I was asking for too much and asked me to leave after I already paid for a week ahead of time
Spacious room (215), disability accessible, comfortable queen size (or king size?) bed with a top cover, light weight warm blanket, regulated ac, a lot of pillows, lamps with plugins built into it, 2 small night stands, good size closet rack area, individual cup hot drink maker with a coffee pod focus slot, large bathroom with walk-in shower but no curtain from what I noticed, large tv, desk, arm chair, nice continental breakfast from 6: 30-8: 30am. Check out is 1pm. 2 elevators in the building.
4 stars for now since I didn't have enough time to explore the hotel; just got off Amtrak early this morning. Covid regulations in place though mask rules are relaxed.
A good place to dump your traveling gear when you go exploring.
Bedding is the BEST.
If you don't want to drive your car around downtown Cleveland, this a a good motel. Everything within walking distance; right by the bus stop.
2 restaurants, one on each side of building
If I could leave a zero I would. Service, hotel, area, rooms, were all absolutely horrible and the worst I’ve ever experienced. Attitude from workers. I had a terrible experience at this hotel that would take too long to explain and would recommend everyone to go literally anywhere else.
The staff was extremely nice. The room was clean. My issues were the noise, you could hear everything outside, everything from the hall. On my last night there I had to get new keys on my 3rd night and poor times for breakfast.
A pretty decent hotel downtown. Very convenient to the theater district and the Rock and Roll hall of Fame. The staff was great, the room was clean. My only complaint was we couldn't get our ac to stay on to even get near the temp it was saying. Other than that it was a good place to stay.
Exterior doesn't look like much but the rooms are nice and it is great location for downtown activities.
Horrible experience. Sink backed up. Shower backed up. Cable didn't work work. Smelled terrible.
We had a great experience! My dad kept being told he was getting discharged from the Cleveland clinic and then he wasn't, they kept accommodating us. The staff is very friendly and informative. Very comfortable beds and clean rooms! Thank you!
I'm so appreciative that the Comfort Inn in Downtown Cleveland offers a wonderful rate for the family and friends of people who have loved ones in Cleveland Clinic! They also have a free shuttle to take u to and from the Clinic! The only thing that was disappointing was the wear and tear of the public areas! I would highly recommend this Comfort Inn!
I was surprised to see a 2 star hotel with that many positive reviews but I went ahead and booked a night there when I had an important appointment in the morning. The receptionist wasn't friendly at all when we were checking in. The building is old. The room was okay but it had a door to the adjacent room which was locked of course. We had some discourteous neighbors that night and there was a woman who cycled between yelling, laughing and crying after midnight. The room was okay although it could use more lighting. I interacted with a few employees and most of them gave me the impression that they just don't really care. The breakfast was okay. Oh, and the room was $110 for 1 night plus about $10 for parking but with taxes that came out to around $155. Next time I'll stay somewhere else.
The room I stayed at wasn't that clean we also had a broken shower head and not enough towels however we did get it for a decent price.
Well, It's not a fancy place but for a budget motel it was nice. The rooms were clean and the beds were Very Comfortable. The window in the room needs to be cleaned! A covered walkway from the parking lot would be nice during the winter or rainy weather. The location was good, near several places within waking distance. My friend and I walked all around to and from the "Q Arena" plenty of really cool Restaurants, Pubs/Taverns and Ice Cream as well as the Fancy places.
Dated facility but conveniently located to may sites within Cleveland and the hospital. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. The main reason that would I would NOT return was the fresh dried blood on the bedding that was present when I stripped it off after entering the room. In this day and time with the current drug epidemic and the death from just drug residue ALL linens should be removed. Blood carries diseases and infections and should handled as hazardous materials. DISGUSTING!
For the price, horrible! Ice machine didn’t work, hair on the floor and in the beds as well as little hard black things in the bed!
Good for a stop over. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were just passing through so no other information to add apart from the room being decent.
All was neat & in place, the mirror in bathroom was streeked & that's all. The young girl at desk was a little abrupt. I've been there twice b4 & I really don't remember anyone acting like her. I will b bax & I hope it doesn't happen again if it does I'll have her name. Breakfast is excellent, thnx u 4 having such a variety
The building was obviously older, but seemed pretty well kept. The room was what you'd expect for the price. The hall on the second floor was quite warm; I really wish they did a better job of cooling their common areas. The bed and pillows were both really soft which is good and bad; it was very comfortable but left my back hurting in the morning. Overall, not a bad place to stay.
No-frills hotel that was fine. However it needs to be pointed out that they advertise their rooms as non-smoking (even having a placard in the room saying so) and it was very evident that people have smoked in the room. When I told the front desk about it all they did was apologize and offer free parking ($10 refund).
Hotel is clean, pricey for what you get. Overheard the desk clerk telling someone that if you're a hospital guest, rates were 89.99. My standard room was triple that.you have to pay for parking at there own hotel as well. Tight parking, and small elevators.
