Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Willoughby OH

The wait was so long, with nowhere to sit. I felt bad for all of the elderly folks who had to stand for over an hour just to be seated. I think a portion of the store should be revamped into seating for the elderly and veterans only. Once we were finally seated, it was another 1/2 hour before our order was taken. Once our order was taken, we waited another hour for our food. But I'm getting ahead of myself. You know that Cracker Barrel commercial with the groovy Thanksgiving plate? The one with the chicken fried turkey? Well, nobody at this particular cracker barrel had ever heard of it. We were told nothing like that was being served. Our party ordered food, but we were all told that there we were not allowed to substitute anything. Like it or lump it basically. So I ordered a salad. They basically threw it on a plate. Nothing chopped, nothing sliced. I wasn't even given a knife to cut it myself. In the salad, was a wedge of dried out cheese. It looked like they pulled it from a mouse trap. Yes, I know it was thanksgiving, but that's no excuse for poor service.

I will never go back on thanksgiving my food was cold, I was cold no hot water for tea, we didn't get bread til we finished eating.
