Dutch Valley Restaurant reviews
42Great food. Great people. Awesome view of the countryside. Our server was right on everyone of out needs. The chix was juicy, the roast beef n gravy was yummy and that stuffing is awesome every time I come it is great.
We have been going there for many great years. The service is great, the foodoh so very good, the bakery has a great variety of baked goods. We drive over an hour just eat there. We love it.
The only buffet that I will eat at in the whole state. Well for starters it is super clean and organized so automatically that is huge for me. The food is being rotated and is very fresh and the sanitation in between changing out the old pans of food is exceptionally done well. On 1-10 meter for Dutch Valley.it scores a 8.3.
A great country style restaurant with good food and friendly service. We usually like to go on Sundays for the breakfast buffet.
Excellent service and quality meat. No preservatives, been coming here since the 80's. We try to go Amish Country at least once a year.
Three at the table and only two rolls brought. Mashed potatoes tasted like boxed and were very cold. Slow, inattentive, service. We have been every couple months for years, and this was very disappointing.
We always eat dinner here when we are in Amish country. If you have not tried it the buffet is delicious! Alot to choose from and always hot and fresh!
Visited and had the buffet. The salad bar was really good with fresh lettuce and all the fixings. The other salads such as the broccoli salad a potato salad were very sweet in taste, like pure sugar. I like sweet things though so it was ok to me but my husband didn't care for them as much. The hot foods on the buffet were ok it depended on what you got. The ribs were very tender and delicious but the ham was rubbery and dry. The broasted chicken that we both got was still pink inside and we couldn't eat it though. The mashed potatoes and gravy was really good. The staff was very friendly, we got quick refills, and at first it was very calm and peaceful. THEN the buses showed up and a hundred very rude black people came in and started pushing people out of the way and cutting in front of everyone. (This of course is not the restaurants fault by no means) Their children were running all over the place and cutting people off at the buffet. One lady pushed her way in between myself and another patron and decided to elbow me as she was passing by and almost dumped my entire plate down the front of me. A few of the ladies from this group even cut in front of all of us that were standing in line to use the restroom for about 10 minutes, just walked right in and went to the front of the line.it was so bad we just left our plates and got up and paid the bill. It was way to crowded to even attempt to enter the bakery part of the building to look around so I don't know about that. We are going back down tomorrow morning to try the breakfast buffet to see how that goes.keep you posted.
The Amish know how to cook! The food buffet is so delicious with homemade foods and desserts! Been here many times. And will continue. Service is great!
Our Family has visited Holmes Co.for over 40 yrs. The Amish communities simple way of life is interesting. In the heart of the area are some of the best restaurants you will find in the United States. Years back Broasted technique for frying chicken was introduced. Dutch Valley has fine tuned and serve chicken that is tender, juicy, crisp but not overcooked. Also the buffet (breakfast, lunch or dinner) is as good as it gets. Friendly service, comfortable seating and large parking areas are a plus. To walk away without visiting the Bakery would be your loss.
Nice family buffet- restaurant and buffet were both very clean, food was hot and fresh and prices were reasonable.
Don't get the meatloaf it has no taste & skip anything broasted. Broasted is not grilled, not roasted, not broiled and IT IS NOT GOOD. Bad fried chicken is better than good broasted chicken.
Some of the best homestyle amish food you can get, buffet is fantastic or they have regular menu made to order, been going here for years one of our favorite restaurants, supurb broasted & pan fried chicken, roast beef etc everything is fresh & homade.
Can't beat comfort food. Broasted chicken is great. Their Thanksgiving Buffet was wonderful. So many people take advantage of it and as many pieces of pie as you can eat included in the fee.
Having fun in Amish Country with Grands! Stopped at Dutch Valley for late lunch, they loved their BLTs and Home Made Chicken Noodle Soup!
More expensive cracker barrel. Meat was dry. Buffet was nothing to write home about. I am biased, as "down home cooking" is my least favorite type of food, but quality was average.
The service was great, the food on the buffet was not only delicious but fresh. The price was also great on the budget. Very group friendly, whether you were are a party of two or twenty.
Food is always fresh and delicious. The buffet is a fantastic deal at any meal. This is hospitality at its finest.
Good food, great service, terrific variety. Always on our agenda when we travel to the Amish Country in Ohio.
