Okay so had a very strange incident at this Jeff Wyler. So let’s start with some background info. When you purchase a car from Jeff Wyler you get free car washes for the life of your vehicle. My wife and I were taking advantage of this perk since we had purchased a Nissan from a Jeff Wyler in Batavia, and since this Jeff Wyler is closer we use it’s car wash every Friday while we are doing laundry. On this particular Friday there was a line of three cars waiting to use the car wash an older couple was first in line and was having trouble engaging the car wash sensor. My wife, who was driving at the time, pulled forward and got out of the car to assist the elderly couple and get the wash moving again. She got back in our car and we were waiting our turn. In the meantime a Jeff Wyler employee by the name of “Gary”, an older gentleman in his late 60s early 70s, drove a car he was detailing towards the car wash intersection. Since we had pulled up to assist another one of there customers we were blocking the intersection.

Gary the preceded to get out of his car come up to the driver side window and knock on it full force with his worn down knuckles demanding we move immediately, mind you there are alternate routes that would take three seconds at best to get around, but good ole Gary wouldn’t relent. We then pulled forward out of the way so he could get past. He walked away from us and to the car in front of us and said something to the driver, and seemed to be even more irritated then before. He got back in the car he was driving pulled behind us and parked and tried to block our car from backing up to get into the car wash since we had ever so graciously pulled to side for him to get by, but luckily our car is compact and she was able to back in line.

Gary didn’t like this one bit got back out of the car came barreling towards my wife’s door and opened it and grabbed her arm. She then started screaming and knocked him back by pushing the car door as hard as she could. This scarred him off as people would start coming and he ran back to his car and got inside driving off as fast as he could. Hearing the screams multiple employees come running out of the building to see what was going on. My wife was panicking and I couldn’t believe what just had happened.

A few of the employees started talking to her and apologized, but didn’t seem very remorseful and all apologies were empty. I asked her if she wanted to call the police but she was too afraid to stay on the lot, after the psychical altercation that just occurred. So we left, and headed back to the laundromat and called the police from there. We made a report and decided to contact the dealership by phone and ask for the General manager. When the office person answered the phone I was told the GM had been on vacation for two weeks, and what was my call pertaining to, I told her that I’m sure she heard that one of there employees it into an altercation outside we were the victims.she kind of chuckled and said that other people called and said that there employee did nothing wrong. So apparently opening someone’s car door and grabbing someone is acceptable behavior, the only witnesses were the man in the car wash who could not see what was happening because the car wash was moving and a lady parked way back waiting on a wash who was obstructed by Gary’s car that was blocking us, so I call BS.

I left a voicemail, and then my wife decided to call the Jeff Wyler we bought the car from, and see if they could help. The gentleman there was empathetic and concerned, and is putting us in touch with a corporate HR person. (I know the names but not putting everything on here). Right after we hung up I received a call from a elderly sales manager from this Springfield location, whom was very unapologetic, passive-aggressive, and thought the situation was hilarious he laughed on several occasions during our call and I just had it at that point and told him we will just be in contact with corporate as he was calling my wife a liar. BEWARE!

A very low pressure experience to buy a car. The sales person was very patient with me and let me drive the car as many times as I wanted before purchase. This was the second car I purchased here, thanks again to James it worked out.

My wife and I had Michael White take care of us. He is a stand-up guy! Straight-shooter, honest, very patient, and really actually listened to us and did everything in his power to make us happy. We left with an SUV that we both love and we have no regrets!

Jeff Coburn is great! Turned in my lease and were not sure we could afford a payment more than we had before. Jeff got together with Matt Crosbie and discussed the situation. They worked something out for us and we were able to drive our next lease home! Much appreciated guys!

Eric Powell, my salesman was amazing. He went out of his way to make sure I left in a 2018 Chevy Silverado. After my divorce, my credit took a huge hit and Eric discussed my situation with the lender and was able to secure me financing! I am a very satisfied customer and will recommend Jeff Wyler Springfield Auto Mall to everyone who will listen! And furthermore, my truck is an awesome piece of machinery!
