Maumee Bay State Park reviews
30 Beautiful beach and park in general- but the water is disgusting - and there was also a lot.and I mean a lot of dead fish hidden behind some bushes.
It's a nice beach just don't go under the water or you might end up sick like me
1st time I've been here in a while, took my son his friend, and are dog Kanye, it's a little bit of a walk to the water but clean
We took some moment to just sit on the concrete steps by the water visiting with my wife's sister. She lives in the Toledo area and we were there from Ephrata Pa. Very clean
This is the first year my sisters and I rented a cabin for the Biggest Week in American Birding. We loved it so much we already reserved it for next year! We had cabin 21. It slept six and was comfortable and had a fully outfitted kitchen. We could step out onto one of the multiple balconies and see and hear birds. The birding is great at MBSP and we were close to all the action at Ottawa, Magee Marsh, Howard Marsh and several others. I highly recommend a visit or stay!
Love this place! Great secret in Ohio, however the hotel rooms and cabins are pricey for the outdated accommodations.however the property is great
Very pleased with our stay. The campground was clean and neatly kept. All the sites were very secluded from each other. Lots of wildlife to be seen roaming the grounds. Only downside is that there is no full hook up sites. We'll stay there again.
We are from Washington state and have never stayed at a nicer State Park. Wow. Two water places, dump site, air hose, laundry, nice showers and bathrooms. Paved camp sights. Just awesome. My only complaint is it's still raining. Oh well feels like back home in WA.
This is a great place to stay on the shore! The rooms and amenities rival most in the area. With the nearby parks and restaurants, it is a great place for a family vacation!
Awesome park, nice beach for lake Erie view, or seperate inland lake side with seperate beach for those affraid of sharks (lol) Kind of reminds me of St Pete, Florida. Nice bike trail, and the expansive elevated boardwalk trail starting at nature center thru the forest is a must! Great place to spend whole day, or night as well at the motel / resort their.
If I could rate it lower I would. When we arrived, they had a sign posted saying that children should not swim there.
Great park. Really nicely laid out so you aren't staring at the backside of your neighbor's camper. Nice tree coverage in between sites. Camping pad is angled so that it is easier to get backed in. Bath House was clean and well taken care of. Only downside was occasionally smelling the refinery but it wasn't terrible. Great location if you are going to the Toledo Zoo or Cedar Point. Beach is also amazing. Large enough to accommodate many without feeling crowded. Definitely recommend this park for camping or recreation.
It has a beach and a hotel and cabins and a nice biking Trail on top of a nice walking trail through the forest.you can also have a nice picnic there cuz there are many locations to picnic at and you can rent boats and rent bikes.
The Lake is So Bad that there's A Sign No One Is Allowed In The Water. It's That Bad. It was Dead there the Day We was There.
What is not to like it's great the one problem is they want you to book two nights stay on the week end and it's nice but not cheap.
Boardwalk was cool. That was the only spot there we went. Definitely will go back to check out the rest of the park
Went for a ride on the trike with my hubby and had a wonderful time. It was beautiful out here. Had a lovely day!
Very nice and clean beach. I will say I wish they had garbage cans in the beach area. They have no garbage cans but one big dumpster in the middle of the parking lot. So make sure you take like a bag to throw all your small trash until you're ready throw everything away. Unless you want to make several trips to the dumpster. Other than that I really enjoyed the view. The kids loved swimming in the water. They have nice trails to go bike riding, or walking your dogs.
Love it! Bring shoes for the Lake Erie beach because this is an inland, fresh water lake. The "sand" is naturally heavy in broken shells. It is beautiful!
Great place to camp. A few full hookup lots would be nice and a pool, since the lake isn't in the best condition and the lodge pool is only for their guests.
