My brother was sadly sent here twice. Both times were absolutely horrible. It makes my heart hurt to think they treat patients and families the way they do. He was unable to get his antidepressant that he is prescribed. Anyone who has been on antidepressants knows that you can’t just stop taking them without serious side effects. Both times my brother was in there my parents tried repeatedly to call and never could get anyone to answer or call back. My mother finally went down and sat until someone was willing to talk to her. She took my brother clothes that he never received. He and my mother both said how freezing cold it was in there. This place needs to be investigated and shut down. You would never treat a heart or cancer patient like this. It is sickening to me that this place is allowed to still be operating.

My daughter was sent here for depression the first day she called me and said they were making fun of her and it was worst than jail. The 2nd day she died there and I can't get any answers they won't give her medical record they say I need to show proof next of kin. I had her birth certificate her license her ss card but they still refused. I didnt get all her dtuff back. They told me her roommate came to the nurses station and said she was making too much noise. They didnt check on her for hours and by that time she had died. Had checked on her right away she would probably be alive. No one deserves to lose their child in a place that should BE A SAFE PLACE. NOT A DEATH PLACE. No one will respond to this they only thank the 5 Stars.

It’s freezing cold inside people turning in to Ice Cubes, ive been there for at least 6 months, every night i was scared to death expecting someone to come and kill me while i was asleep. Never gonna happen again.
Now next month my Family thought that Could be better for me to be put in Arkham Asylum where i would be treated better.

My father has been here for approximately two weeks after a transfer and I am his caregiver. I have left numerous voicemails to reach someone because he states he has signed releases, still no one has reached out. They provide numbers on their website which renders them unreachable if you call because it just kicks you to a voicemail, that no one can seem to answer. If you press option one, you could be transferred out to a third party in Tennessee that answers. I’ve never seen anything like it at all. My family and I are completely concerned about him due to this. I’ve only been able to reach one person who stated a supervisor would get ahold of me, still nothing. What are you doing for a disabled veteran who risks homelessness, repeat admissions, etc? There has been no reaching out to his next of kin/POA or caregiver to update or coordinate.

I am very satisfied with the feedback that I have received from our clients that have received services there.

Mark Stoof has been absolutely amazing in meeting the needs of our assessment team. He has taken the time to understand the process and dedicated himself to finding the quickest and best solutions to our dilemmas. He understands that our individuals and their care is our number one priority and he has done everything to accommodate. I can not thank him and Mt Carmel intake team enough!

This place may be double dipping on payment for services of you or your loved ones. If you have MEDICARE and/or MEDICAID your insurance should pay! If you receive a bill months or nearly a year later like my loved one did, report this entity to the OHIO ATTORNEY GENERAL immediately to ensure no fraudulent activity is taking place and you or your loved one are not being targeted because you may have a mental health diagnosis. Often vulnerable populations are scammed as some believe mental illness means Oh they have no intellect. Do not pay any bill this place sends you or a loved one if you have insurance especially MEDICARE as primary. These doctors will try to slick and send separate bills knowing it’s wrong. Report them to IRS as well and have them audited!

My daughter was just discharged from here, and she had nothing but good to say about her stay. The nursing staff were so kind and helpful. The only negative was that the food was sometimes not so great she said. They helped her so much.

Over the past 2 years I have had the opportunity to work with some remarkable clinicians and care givers that are patient centered in their decisions. MCBH is vigorous in ensuring all patients receive the full continuum of care throughout their stay.

I’ve been in six psych wards. This is the worst. Not by a little, by a lot. If you were to take the ten worst things that happened to me in a psych ward, about eight were at this one place, two at the other five. I heard and saw things in there I’ll never forget.

It’s worse, by far, than either of the two jails I’ve been in.

I had $150 cash stolen from my wallet when they checked it in. I swear.

I’ve eaten much, much better food out of dumpsters than in there.

I’m a pretty hard dude. I’ve done shelters, jails, wards, halfway houses, living on the street, but this is really the worst place I’ve spent a week of my life.

My “doctor” wore “jewelry” so tacky a ninth grader from south Chicago would have teased him.

If you’re looking for somewhere to take a loved one, take them ANYWHERE else. Even if that’s a homeless shelter.

And any five star review you see about this place is FAKE!

This place is disorganized, does not know how to cook food (serving frozen still food) and did not accomidating nicely to vegetarians. They did not have support staff, and visiting is only a half hour. They also dont have an actual doctor and visits with the one sudo doctor was not even 5 mins. They also did not have a therapist. This place is horrible do not take anyone here and do not admit yourself here.

I was recently discharged from here. Most of the staff were really great and went out of their way to help. People have to remember that this is a short term mental health facility designed to keep you safe and get you the referrals and appointments you need, as well as, medications until you see an outside psychiatrist. I know some people don't like that they can't go home when they want, but it's for your own safety. I was voluntary and still had to stay a week. I was ok and I'm alive and got the meds and outside therapy that I needed. The facility is very clean.

Place felt like jail. Wasn't given medication on time, did not help with suicidal thoughts or anything. Very neglectful place.

These people are pure evil monsters, unprofessional and horrible attitudes. They love to mislead people, lie, and threaten people.these are nothing but bullies that get a thrill off of scaring people and treating them badly.

Terrible money hungry place. Lucky to get 1 group a day. Staff stole some of my cigarettes. That's just for starters, I won't continue. Would I ever go back? Only if I wanted to see how much pain and suffering I could endure.

This place is terrifying I was released yesterday! In my five days I went through more trauma than when I went in! You never see anyone and are treated like a animal in a cage! There is violence lies and understaff! The soap is hand soap
And the food is not nutritional! I will
Heal better at home
Than I did going into
That building will haunt me for years for the terror I went through! KEEp anyone you know away from this place at all cost! This place should be closed and investigated!

My wife has been placed there multiple times against our suggestions by Fairfield Medical Center. Everytime she has been stripped of her medication. There is no regard for the medication she has been prescribed by her physician of 14 yrs. Totally very unprofessionaly operated.

IF YOU NEED TO GET A HOLD OF THE CLINICAL DIRECTOR HER EXTENSION IS 260. It was the only extension I was given during a family members questionable stay here. If you care about your loved ones don't bring them here. No one would answer questions, we were lied to during the entire process, the provider couldn't even keep my family members file correct (frequently referenced another patients story instead of theirs), they act like they care but in reality it's about how much they can make off you.
Group therapies do not exist. They meet once a day and are given a hand out, and that's group therapy.

Not to mention my family member was able to pick up a pen and keep it in their property the entire time there. Sounds REALLY safe for someone who might be suicidal. Oh, and good luck trying to get a hold of a loved one. No one gets their messages in there.

My brother was there and when he was discharged his wallet and glasses were NOT returned to him. I've called left messages emailed and no one has returned my calls. I'm am forced to file a police report due to the mismanagement of patients personal items.

This place has serious medical staffing and funding issues. The 3rd shift Staff sucks a** except for Ms Moma, Mr Thomas Ms Tawana. There communication and dissemination of information about what they tell you what assistance and or advocacybyou as a patient for whatever will receive circumstances that you are there needs drastic improvement. The social workers I encountered were problematic and showed preferential treatment from white female patients to black female patients. White female patients were excused in calling black female patients racial epithets. There was one particular Caucasian female patient that was prejudice and racist that was being damn near allowed to have power and control over the unit near running the unit by being manipulative threatening to fight other A. A. W staff and patients and trying to bully and threatens patients she felt she could bully and she even threw her breakfast muffins against the cafeteria wall because she was throwing some mini tantrum and it was acceptable and that very ignorant combative disruptive behavior was allowed to be condoned which affected the rest and wellness of the other female patients. There were some other positives like the meals were pretty good especially the egg whites for breakfast the vegan sandwiches and the hamburgers and hot dogs were good just two of the female cafeteria attitudes are disrespectful when you are trying to gain clarity on the dietary and nutrition
