Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles reviews
25I was in and out in literally 30 seconds! "Trainee" did a fantastic job at processing my transaction VERY quickly. Thank you!
Over a hour wait, Manager walking around counting paperclips trying to look busy. No sense of urgency from any of the staff. Maybe someone should investigate the extremely long wait every day! The State needs to look into another location on the eastside! This location on Hill Road in Pickerington - Fairfeild County. Next location is in Whitehall - Frankilin County or Pataskaka - Licking County! Two hour wait is unacceptable!
In general, I would recommend this location due to the speed of service. However, today we had a very poor experience. My husband went in to renew his tags. He pulled number 46 on from the ticket system and they were serving number 22 at 12: 42 p.m. Today. The inside area was full, so my husband waited outside the door and I sat in the car. After waiting outside for nearly an hour (it's the end of November so it's not warm), he then saw the number change from 42 to 49. He went inside to express that his number never came on the display and was told that his number was called and that others heard it. They do not have an outside announcement system, so calling a number inside when there aren't enough seats to hold all the pulled numbers is not sufficient. They should be changing the numbers on the display as they call them.
What's more upsetting is they did not offer to take him as the next customer in line and the next ticket available was in the 70 range. I tried call the office to hopefully speak with a manager, but I repeatedly received the busy message with no messaging system. If someone from the office could reach out to me to us, it would be greatly appreciated.
Great place to spend an hour or two. Come early or late it doesn't matter as time is just an illusion at the BMV. If you have a terminal illness spend your final hours here and it will feel like 30 lifetimes.
Spent a collective 5 hours in line between two days to purchase plates for a nonprofit organization and no one on staff knew the correct name of documents that I needed to show proof of 501 (c) 3 status. They instructed me to call the registration office, again no one could give me specific titles. I asked if an exemption letter would work and was told yes only to be denied at the BMV.
If your agency can't give clear and direct needs you need to readjust your standards on acceptance. I had to waste personal and work time because your agents didn't take the time to give me a clear answer the first time.
For future reference you need a physical copy of the articles of incorporation signed by the secretary of state.
