Parkside Villa reviews
25I have felt so loved while doing my rehab. Everyone I came in contact with really cared about my health. I did not have one bad experience. The night nurse on the Woods in particular really went the extra mile and made me feel cared for, and often helped me with changing.
My time at Parkside Villa has been excellent. I am a teacher so I have noticed how all the employees work together to accomplish a common goal, they never seem to be in a rush and have been nothing but friendly to me the whole time. At any hour of the day or night I have been able to have the assistance of the staff without any long wait, which is important to me. The 24/7 availability of help and promptness on the call light made my stay worth while. Another nice aspect of Parkside is that everything runs on time, I always received my medications on a scheduled time, along with food and any therapy appointments. Therapy has been the best part of my time here! Helen and Kathy really helped me succeed and get better. I loved coming to therapy with the tremendous people that worked with me everyday.
My mother is currently in parkside villa skilled nursing facility. Last night her aide screamed at her and tonight her nurse kept talking over her and treating her disrespectfully as well as being rude and quite nasty to her husband and myself (her daughter). She's only been here a total of 4 days. This is the worst facility I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We tried to explain to her nurse that she needs to be seen by a medical doctor as she fell in her bathroom yesterday and hit her back, hip and the back of her head against the wall. She also has need of medical care for some infections that need to be addressed. There isn't a doctor on sight. What kind of rehab facility doesn't have an onsite medical doctor? This is not right.
This is my second time at Parkside Villa for rehab, and if I had to I would go back again. Every time I pushed my call light the nurses and aides responded in a quick timely manner. It is a very clean facility, the housekeepers come every day to clean you room and bathrooms. The food has improved since the last time I was here in September/October. If there is a meal I didn't like I called the kitchen and they brought me an alternate meal. Cheryl the wound nurse really helped me a lot with my wound. She is very skilled at her job and makes sure to keep up with dressing it. Also, the PT/OT is excellent. All the therapist have helped me come a long way in healing, especially Susan, Tim and Sandy.
This place is so unprofessional. Administration is the worst they never have enough staff. Even if you work and pick up they don’t appreciate it. You have to be a real fake person to work at this facility. They put up this facade like they are a top rated nursing home/rehabilitation center and that’s absolutely not the case at all. The only good thing about this place is the rehab. The schedulers are the worst they use and abuse you. This place is like high school with old people and immature middle age workers. There is no way this place should have 5,3 or even 1 Star. They need state to be called on them. I WOULDNT WORK HERE IF IT WAS TGE LAST PLACE TO WORK!
