Petland Strongsville reviews
23Don’t ever buy a dog from Pet Land they charge a fortune. They wanted me to spend 6,000 dollars on a pug that I can buy at other places for like a thousand. Also when I got there they said I can pay 50 bucks and get the dog that day then pay 100-200 dollars a month to pay it off then the next day told me I had to pay 250 dollars every 2 weeks which means they wanted me to spend 500 dollars a month. They kept changing there story so I’m happy I didn’t buy a dog from them they kinda sounded like a scam.
When they say it's expensive, they mean their dogs cost around $6,000 each. They have a great variety of dogs but definitely overpriced.
I have only seen pictures and videos but even from those anyone with eyes can see all the pets in the place are not being cared for properly and nobody is being properly educated on dog breeds or care for those breeds. Makes me so sad for all of the animals.
Prices are tooooo high. $5700. Was there price and I got the same puppy, shot record, food, vitamins and all for $ 1300.
Treats customers with no respect. Sold me two baby rats with lice and will not own up to it. Leaving me with two rats who need to be taken to the vet or they will die from anemia caused by lice. Thanks for all the unneeded bills. Deffintally not returning unless this is fixed.
Great service. Great selection. On the expensive side and a little bum that I was forced to buy a huge bag of food for a five pound miniature dachshund who is four months old. Other than that, a great place to find four footed happiness.
They sell animals from puppy mills. Go to Berea ARF, Medina SPCA, Petsmart (Medina). Petland needs to be shut down.
I went there a little bit ago, and I was sad to see the cockatiels looked very sick. They had the wrong size perches, and were staying in the corner. They really don't take care of their cockatiels. I hope they don't get profit from the poor treatment of these birds.
They don't take care of any of the animals. They all show signs of being treated poorly & being sick. Anyone who gives this company money is absolutely sick. The dogs LIVE in FISH TANKS how do some people see this as normal? Adopt don't shop!
Overall I was very pleased with the staff I spoke with. We now have an adorable toy poodle who is very cuddly. I do feel pricing is on the high end, and didn't like the fact I had to buy the food. However, they did work with me and allow me to buy the smaller bag of dry food instead of the bigger bag since the puppy was only 5 lbs. I appreciated the fact they understood my point, and accommodated me. Love our little guy Harley!
ABUSE. I walked in the store and the puppies were laying in display cases on grates with out beds. Just a little rubber mat. Insane. He whole store smelled like pee. Their paws were all scabbed and messed up. There was feces and pee all over their cages. All their animals are obviously from puppy mills. Adopt don't shop. If you don't know what a puppy mill is, please research. It's terrible.
Irresponsible. Sick, dirty, stressed animals in improper conditions. People poking and prodding at them passing disease.
Don't support puppy mills, and these places buy from them. Not ok.
Cages are too small for the larger breeds and they shove more then 1 large breed in the confined area
This is such a nice place to take a youngster to see a variety of pets. Exotic birds, farrets, kittens and puppies of course are just some of what you find there. They're a company that has been inspected and documented that the animals come from accredited breeders and not from mills. And often you can spend some time with your choice of pet in a small room that allows you to get acquainted better. It can be found on the 2nd floor on the Strongsville Southpark Mall.
Very inviting location. Small store inside the mall but it was a great experience. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable to the best of their abilities. The animals seem very well maintained. The store was very busy.
They have a display of betta fish in tiny bowls at the front, many of which were dead or close to dying when I visited. Just made me sad.
I honestly can’t believe places like this still exist. I wish people would stop supporting scummy pet shops that exist on greed — selling puppy mill dogs, bred under cruel, disgusting conditions.
It's ok. I'm not a big fan of pet stores, but I needed cat food and I was shopping at the mall so I stopped here. They don't have a big selection of cat food, and only 1 brand and flavor of wet cat food, IAMS. My cats unfortunately took one bite and turned thier noses up. So at 98 cents for a small can, it was a waste of money. They do have cat treats and some cute toys. But, as far as food. Not a big enough selection.
Don’t support overpriced dogs from puppy mills priced at thousands of dollars when there are dogs being killed in shelters everyday that are practically free.
I was a little sceptical buying from Petland for some reason but had a good experience and now have a beautiful, healthy, happy, great dog. Anna was very nice and helpful
