Petland Strongsville

This place deserves 0 stars, my sister bought a Maltese puppy from here not even a week ago to join her family. She took it home for her baby girls, who are only 2 years old and 3 months. After a couple days he stopped eating and began throwing up, with diarrhea, and whimpering. Today we took him to the vet where he was diagnosed with parvovirus from living in terrible conditions and being in contact with another dogs infected bodily functions at Petland. Now her and her 2 year old daughter are so heartbroken because the vet doesn’t know if the little guy is gonna make. Please please, I beg you to protest these places and we need to work better as a community to get these kinds of pet stores shut down, to stop them from abusing and killing innocent animals!

I wish I will have a chance to talk to the owner.
If not here is my advise (if anybody cares) - reduce the price for the puppy that you have in the cage for6 months! Someone might buy that poor dog. He will be very difficult to train now.have some heart and class when you work with living things including your customers- have a play cubical for pets to be played with like in other stores! Educate your unfriendly too busy to answer questions employees! You are not selling tires. Hope one of our local papers will publish a story about your ethics.

Recently, I had LEGITIMATE cause to contact this retailer regarding the my rescued Red ACD, sold by this store in October 2014. When i politely asked, explaining i needed records of either his breeder or purchaser to straighten out AKC documentation bc his AKC paperwork was showing me as third co owner. This store claimed to have destroyed records concerning my dog's sale. So I asked for the breeder's name in hopes they can help me sort this out. Again, the store claimed to have destroyed the records. When I made a comment regarding puppy mills, the woman on the phone claimed my dog came from a hobby breeder. She further expanded on the story, describing an older couple who couldn't find a purchaser for him and wanted to sell him.

Wait, what? Not even a minute before she claimed to know nothing about my dog's breeder. They can't even tell cohesive lies.

Even though i have a PAL registration, it still traces back to an AKC number, assigned to this store and my dog's original purchaser. I want to compete competitively with my dog in sports. I HAVE to get my dog's AKC numbers corrected, without any sign off from an owner or breeder, I was looking at losing my titles. Like I said, a COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE REASON for contact.

I'm ticked off with this store. Not only do they not care about someone trying to better the life of a rescue dog sold by them. They had the audacity to blatently LIE to me. Whatever you do, don't believe the story about the older couple hobby breeders, who couldn't place a puppy. It's a load of you know what. Terrible service, they don't care about the lives of the animals sold and they do an even worse job at telling "fairy tales. "

No matter where he came from, I love my dog. I hate Petland.
