Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel reviews
27Enjoyed my stay! The room service was superb. They delivered the food in a timely manner and it was delicious and hot. I'll stay there again.
The room was lovely and so was their ballroom and other spaces. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The valet was quick and courteous! Lovely place!
Marriott should be disappointed in this Renaissance property. Staying here tonight is like a step back in time. Specifically April 2020; restaurant is closed, pool is not filled, concierge lounge is closed, signs up to wear your mask. It is a ghost town at this hotel! You can only enter and exit through the valet, as all doors are locked. I've seen maybe 3 guests so far in a nearly 20 story property. Now onto the dated rooms; chipped and broken furniture, stains on the carpet, a commercial style toilet maybe 15 inches off the ground! Bed is ok, and that's being generous.
Just spent a week here for GeeklyCon2018. The hotel was beautiful and clean, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff was very friendly! There were many delicious places to eat within short walking distance of the hotel and anything else you could need is a short drive away.
Hotel is in a very nice location in downtown Columbus, with easy walks to major employers and tourist destinations. Hotel is nicely renovated decorated. Rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, although may show slightly signs of wear. Executive lounge has a small selection of food and beverage offerings, but what is available was good. Would stay here again.
Went for a political event and it was a great time. Very big room, and the staff were so cordial in all their help.
Hotel is run down. Carpets show major wear in halls and public areas. Lights not working. Had reservations for 4 and requested hypoallergenic linens. Towels & such for 3, no shampoo and no hypoallergenic linens. When we called for correct supplies we were brought 1 pillow and a blanket that had many vary large holes in it.
Second time I stayed at this hotel and what a wonderful place. Great City View close to everything friendly staff couldn't say more
I just had the absolute best experience on the phone with a supervisor named John. I wanted to send a gift to my best friend while she stayed at the Renaissance and he made it happen by jumping through some hoops and just being an overall nice gentleman. Huge thumbs up to John and the restaurant manager! I’ll definately come stay with you when I’m in town next month. Thank you so much.
Great hotel, lounge. Super friendly staff. For the same rates, the close by Courtyard has worse rooms and a smaller restaurant, and no lounge.
This is truly an amazing place to stay if you're from out of town or if you're local and wanting somewhere different nice to stay with a great view of Columbus this is one of the best hotels that there is five star service all around
The Renaissance Hotel is quite visible from all four roads leading to it. It has a clean and hip barroom, easy to navigate lobby, and a VERY helpful staff. I only had a few hours stay, but the hotel service was excellent.
So very nice and accommodating, the pool area was very fun! We want to come back for a extended weekend!
Great location, a little excessive with the parking/valet prices. It’s Columbus not Chicago or Atlanta.
There are well appointed and renovated rooms, very attentive and courteous staff here at this hotel. However, in the summer months, the real gem here is the roof top pool adjacent to the fitness center. This hotel is in the heart of downtown within walking distance to great restaurants and bars.
We had a room for Red White & Boom so the hotel was extremely busy but the staff was very friendly helpful and keep things neat and tidy. The room was spaces and clean will definitely book again in the future
Good hotel with attentive staff. It's located downtown not far from most major businesses and a short walk from the arena district.
Comfortable, modern classic decor, close to all things in downtown Columbus. German Village was only 6 minutes by car. Entire staff was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.
It's our fourth year staying here as we attended Pelotonia. The hotel is always clean and everyone is always very helpful.
We got bed bugs transferred into our apartment after staying a night. Everything has to be thrown out.clothes, bedding, furniture. Now we don’t have a place to sleep. Do not spend money on this POS hotel. Over-priced and the food quality is not worth the price.
