Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Downtown

Nice rooms. Customer service is okay. Parking is 40 a day but it’s valet. Internet sucks and there’s no grill even though it’s an extended stay (I’m guessing because it’s downtown) which are both very important to me.

They gave away our room. We drove 9 hours to get there and when we arrived they had given away our room and had no plan B for us. Super unfortunate.

The lady at the front desk had a depressing attitude. Told us all the rooms were sold out but can give us a room for free. Didn’t ask for ID or Credit Card. Gave us a room on the opposite side of the hotel and was very hard to find. Dirty room upon arrival. The sink was clogged. Asked for a new room instead. The new room had greasy fingerprints on the windows and stains on the ceilings. Turns out we were charged for the room anyway. No good food in the downtown area.

I absolutely love Marriott and I am dedicated to the brand. This property has great sized rooms and the pricing is good.
However customer service fails it badly. Specifically the Valet which is rude, cold and treated me horribly. I watched as they berated other quests as well.
The day and morning crew is especially bad.
The front desk staff never answers calls and never thanked or was responsive to guests needs.
Hopefully Marriott will clean up this issue.

This hotel was dirty, worn and needs to be gutted and renewed. Shame on you Marriott. I have always been a Marriott fan but no more. The carpet was torn, furniture was dirty and stained. We were given 3 different stories from the front desk in how to get towels. We felt like by the time we left we should be getting a paycheck. We cut our stay short due to the fact it was a horrible hotel.

The room was nice, however the heat never kicked on and after calling the front desk they said they would find us another room. They didn't end up calling us to change our room til 1: 50 am.

The hotel is listed as pet friendly. It did not post anywhere on their listing that there was a $100 fee to stay with a pet. Also we came in a snowstorm and they still were charging for a fee for valet parking. Overall, very disappointing

Lets talk about the pros: awesome location, wide hallways and large rooms. Very close to lots of restaurants, stores, casino and just downtown attractions. Now the Cons: very understaffed to be a holiday weekend, and the fireplace in our room didn't work even though we paid for a fireplace suite. We were told there was no other staff in the hotel to help with fireplace. Here is who saved our stay, hotel frontdesk clerk Brittany was AWESOME! She was very friendly, nice and remained professional even when there were lots of guests waiting. Brittany did help adjust some money for our stay since the fireplace didn't work. Even still i chose this hotel for this particular suite as it was my birthday. There were no other rooms to move too either. As a Marriott Bonvoy member this was disappointing. I hope Brittany gets a promotion as she worked the whole holiday weekend alone outside of the cops who also were here. Residence Inn, please thank Brittany otherwise we would have left.

Love the Residence Inn! Great location right there at the 5th St Arcade where you can spend the day shopping. The shops in both lower levels are now open!

It the best in downtown Cleveland! Very peaceful, and the security there is top notch i feel safe while they're onsite.

The location was perfect. I was in town for a wedding on New Years eve. The wedding was at Browns stadium the access was awesome. There are a ton of restaurants cafes and bars within a 2-3 black radius. Felt very safe. Room was very clean and everything was functional. Enjoyed our 1 night stay.

Clean and spacious room! The front desk and valet staff were both extremely friendly. I did not personally eat the breakfast, but I did peruse the selection. It was well stocked with all of the standard continental breakfast items.

The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and clean. I had a hard time navigating to my room at first because the lace is s big. But it was not an issue after that first time. The hotel is on a great location. You can walk to most places, or take a short uber if the weather isn't cooperating.

Interesting building with character, attentive staff, and convenient to local sports and emtdrtainment. Great place to stay with clean and comfortable beds! Best buffet breakfast in Cleveland. Housekeeping could be more professional though.

Given the price point, this is always my go to hotel when I travel to CLE. It's close to good stuff and is always clean, plus the size of the room are great.

The location was quite nice, located in downtown Cleveland. The rooms were well kept, open concept, and large. The service was amazing, the crew helped politly when needed and asked questions on how to improve our stay as well. It was a great experience.

Outstanding experience from check in to check out. Conveniently located downtown hotel with quick and very friendly check in service. Breakfast buffet included and nice selection to choose from. Nice room and absolutely no issues during my stay. Highly recommend.

It was a good place to spend the night while in cleveland everything was acceptable as far as hotels go.

The Residence Inn had very nice rooms and about a 5 minute walk to Quicken Loans, 10 minutes from the casino, and right above Barios. It was great.

Location is in a great place downtown. Within walking distance from the Q and many different restaurants.
